Following castle crashers eh? I dare say that PSN with shatter, fat princess and then MvC2, as well as these announcements, is certainly giving the summer of arcade a run for its money.

Ive always had a problem with the fact that COD games seem to take ages to drop in price. COD 4 was fun, but not £54.99 fun (not even £44.99 fun). I really hope this new pricing strategy shafts Activision and their MW2 sales (and DJHeor sales for that matter)take a massive hit.

Hypocrisy, thy name is Activision.

Achievements and Trophies are terrible, I almost never go for them, EVER in my games.

I think I got a few of trophies and a couple of achievements, but only by accident.

I'm good at games though, and I don't pay much attention.

SolidTy

I know what you mean, i often find myself just sitting down for half an hour or so just to play a game for a bit and keep getting interrupted by things flashing upon the screen at me.

I dreadeverytime games get an update formore achievements/trophies, as it meansi havetosit through it all again while they unlock.

You're right, trophies/achievements suck :(

Very impressive.

Im actually thinking of giving this series a try, but i have no idea where to start (i live in the UK, and i have no idea which games made it over to Europe, which ones are the best, and which ones are still easy enough to find).

Anyone have any recommendations?

Very smart move by sega. Seems like exactly the kind of game that would appeal to the Monster Hunter generation inJapan, of which we know there are a great many potential customers.

That article is old, and I thinks those were the hatachi brand drives. They use benq and phillips(I think).theMarshell

23/03/09 is old?

And you may be right about the drives, but annecdotal evidence suggests that the consoles we sold this christmas are most prone to it. If they have got models with new drives i'd much appreciate if MS sent some our way so we dont have to deal with this anymore.

[QUOTE="nicenator"]microsoft say that its their fault their games are damaged beyond use or repairCherokee_Jack
And it isn't their fault?

Some people are stupid and will throw their console around expecting everything to be fine, and then it is their fault. However, its not an insignificant figure which have found their games destroyed through slight vibrations or no movement at all.

Thats good news i guess, although i wish they'd do something about their drive issues more than anything else. Its starting to become a real annoyance having to explain to people who come into where i work, with a 360 that rips big chunks out of their games, that microsoft say that its their fault their games are damaged beyond use or repair, so we cant do anything.

It's sad, but unlike what many believe, it has nothing to do with the platform, more the audience it's aimed at.

Ninja Gaiden II suffered a similar fate in the UK, coming out at £40 and then hitting £20 permanently within a couple of weeks (and now being sold for £10 when bought with Ninja Blade @ GAME). The lack of advertising presence probably hasnt helped much either.
