@xhawk27: The actual sport is usually slow, yes. In MLB the Show though, you can turn on things like 'Quick counts' which starts you off with a partial amount of balls and strikes, and a bunch of other tweaks that speeds it along if you want.
They also removed Season Mode...which ticks me off for 2 reasons. 1, that happens to be the main reason I play this game, to follow my fav teams and see how my games end up compared to theirs, and 2, Um, how hard is it to not take out a mainstay that has been there since the then known as 989 Studios games of the PS1??? This is ridiculous! It isn't even an online mode. It is bare bones...all you have to do is update rosters, which they do anyways, and have the Schedules correct! RTTS is really fun this year though, but c'mon!
@donutking7: I've been playing baseball videogames since the atari 2600 days, and this is clearly the best playing Bball game I've ever played. I also physically played a lot when I was younger, and this really feels like the real thing. I hope you get a chance to play it!
Loot Crates are evil. However, if these are deemed as 'gambling', then Pokemon cards, baseball cards, figurine mystery boxes, crackerjack prizes, and even grab bags are also 'gambling'. Also say goodbye to all carnival games, etc.
Well, I use a laptop, so I'd need to buy a decent monitor, keyboard and mouse, so it is still about a grand if I played on PC. I just prefer consoles, but I think PC gamers get alot of sh*t for no reason. Play where you want and have fun!!!
@nervedamaged: I really don't see videogames as a sport for the same reason I don't think golf is a sport. I play a ton of games and I play golf too...but I see them as a competitive activity more than a sport. But ESPN does have fu**ing POKER on there!!!
