Nothing was cooler back when I was a kid than DBZ.
Sure Pokémon was more popular
but for sheer badass factor, nothing even came close.
No one actually wanted to be Ash Ketchum. But Goku? Vegeta? A super saiyan?
Our 7yo minds couldn't conceive of anything better than that.

Not many people realise how old the show is.
Forget Dragonball, DBZ's first episode doesn't just pre-date me, it pre-dates the 90s.
We only had four channels on our family TV,
but my parents' friend had SkyTV and therefore Cartoon Network / Toonami,
so every time we went over there I was totally glued to it,
and used to get so pissed off it would switch to some other show on a cliffhanger.
I still get goosebumps watching some of those pivotal moments on YouTube.

@doubtless1: I'm someone who (up to a point) is more interested in the developers' original vision than a superior game.

I don't like to be playing a game and not know which parts are actually supposed to be there and which aren't.
If I'm playing Skyrim for example, I want to know what's actually Skyrim and what's just some other thing. I'll install the SkyUI mod, for example, because the original UI is painful, and I know exactly what I'm missing. I know I'm playing the same game as everyone else.

For a mod like Brutal Doom I don't mind, because I just take it and the original Doom as two separate games, and play them both.
But you don't really want to be playing through two versions of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. or Skyrim at the same time, because it's all one big level. Not an unlimited number of completely separate 20 minute experiences.
Maybe if I've already put hundreds of hours in, relatively recently, and I know how everything is supposed to be, but I haven't.

The only mod I'd install on top of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (and I want to) is a pure and comprehensive bug fix mod. No changes at all. And I looked, but for some reason couldn't find one. I assume one must exist. Do you know of one?

What they're trying to say is:

Everything about and around this game's launch was absolutely filthy.
Including the fake reviews companies like GameSpot were paid to post.

Remember, just because idiots shout something literally all the time,
doesn't mean the thing they're shouting is now impossible.
The word “corporation” is synonymous with the word “corruption”, remember.
This is the same company who's staff and moderators repeatedly swore blind
that they were absolutely nothing but a gaming website,
while simultaneously posting hit pieces on their political enemies to their home page.

There's nothing to say anything on PC is going to happen with the first three games.
But then again, nothing to say it won't.
