The Starbucks cup was a massive one. It was a shot of a person at a table, and right bang in the middle of the table was a Starbucks cup. That one was almost beyond belief. But two times in a row? In the same season? This is very, very lazy practice.

Your set is supposed to be a work of art, each deliberate stroke carefully crafted. You don't bring anything at all onto set when you're filming out of modern times. It's supposed to be absolutely “sterile” and 100% uncontaminated.

Stuff like this really gives legs to the idea that the guys working on this were incompetent.

Thankatos2K: “THEY BROKE THEIR PROMISE !!!!"

naryanrobinson: “What promise did they break?”

Thankatos2K: *refuses to cite promise 12 times in a row*

@Thanatos2k: Ah yes, the “I lied, now I'm changing the subject.”

Here's your lie again, since it seems you forgot:

“They promised their backers something. That promise is broken.”

Please try to avoid talking about your lie and fake promise again. It's very entertaining.

Pretend you never said “promise”. Avoid that word again. Backtrack. Twist it. Ignore it.

Go on. I'm waiting.

@Thanatos2k:Oh look, 75% of your arguments just disappeared, and the last one is on life support.

Fact: They never promised it would come to Steam first.

Fact: They never broke a single promise.

Fact: You were wrong, and that's fine, but you should deal with it like a man.

Please don't reply to this; it's over and we both know it. Just let it go and leave with your dignity intact. That's what I'm going to do right now.

@Thanatos2k: “I'd explain that if I said that, which I did not.”

You said they are not allowed to put their game where they want. They want to put it on Epic. Now explain yourself.

“Backers were promised the game when it released on Steam.”

Backers will get the game on Steam when it is released on Steam. I repeat: Which promise was broken?

“How exactly can Steam prevent a greedy dev from accepting an exclusivity agreement from someone else? Did you even think about this?”

Did you? As I've already said Steam could reduce their huge cut, and Epic would be dead in the water overnight.

@Thanatos2k: “If they were self funding sure, but they're not.”

1. Please explain why being crowdfunded means you can't put your game on the Epic store.

“They promised their backers something. That promise is broken.”

2. Which promise was broken?

“Steam had nothing to do with this.”

3. But they could solve it more cheaply than anyone else if they love their customers so much.

“Steam did not in any way cause them to betray their backers.”

Correct. Mainly because the devs did not in any way betray their backers.

While I'm annoyed about this, upon inspection, I don't have any good reason to be.

They have the right to put their game anywhere they want, they haven't promised me anything, and if Steam wants to stop Epic in their tracks, they should offer a better deal, and stop taking such an enormous cut.

The developers are the tiny guy. Epic is the little guy. If you were a dev, you'd probably do the same, or at least try.

If you want to be angry at someone, be angry at Steam.

They can stop this just as easily and still be richer than anyone else.

I don't have anything against Josh Gad,

but there is no quicker way known to science, to stop your film from being taken seriously,

than to drop Josh Gad in it.
