People here is acting like 4K already mainstream nowadays. In my country, full HD still a super big thing from movies to games. I don't own any 4K Bluray movies, I always watch full HD clips in youtube or any movies website. I don't buy much of DVD or Bluray for maybe around 4-5 years 'til now. I barely buy CD for collecting music of my favorite singers nowadays (I bought digital from Itunes). And now, Microsoft said something that will truly hurt if you buy PS4 or Slim or Pro because the lack of Bluray 4K? I don't know what you guys think. But I truly don't care about 4K content (the reason I have said above). Also, I think IMO, Sony didn't put 4K bluray to make the price lower for fitting 400$.
@greaseman1985: I don't know. Following my eyes, No Man's Sky just the same hype as every big games. But yeah, it still fail to achieve what it promised.
I don't know but I heard a lot of my friends that using console to watch Bluray movie will hurt a disk read. So I still a little bit fine with this decision. And I don't care 4K for now because of my internet is not that good to watch or stream 4K content.
But it is a missing feature for PS4 Pro because in the press said a lot about 4K content but missing the simple feature that it should have in the beginning.
But I still buy it btw, the reason why is I want to play games with more stable framerate and I am Playstation fan. So if you guys want to buy a box that can only play games for 720-900p and dip 30fps with ability to play 4K bluray, Xbox One S is suit for you guy.
