Lower standards when Zelda was released, less reviewers like Carolyn, no Escapist Magazine.

Zelda is shit compared to GTA.

Lumpy311

lol  get a load of this guy

going by GTAIV, it has nothing on Zelda. Zelda craps all over it

GTA IV is a better game than Zelda. Don't even try, Zelda is shit compared to it.

Not to those who don't like GTA. ;)

[QUOTE="lostrib"]yes, and when your team members don't work well in a team game it makes it not fun.  lostrib

Yes, this is what happens in skill based games. You see, competitive games (real ones) have this aspect called "risk/rewards" what this means is, what a greater sense of risk and skill the returns when you hit the peaks of a game are more rewarding because it requires more of the user with the possibility of failing.

When fellows such as yourself play these "call of duty" and "battlefield 3's" you run around spraying and praying getting peanute XP and unlocks thrown at you regardless of failing. It has no risk/reward it is a meaningless homogenized pile of shit designed so children and casuals can play. While this can be great for sales and draw more people in for real gamers looking for risk/reward it offers nothing. It is not a competitive game, it is not a team game. It is just running around "pew pew!".

Which has nothing to do with what I said. It's just you spouting elitist rhetoric.  And did you know, it's possible to enjoy CoD, BF3, and Rising Storm :o

Why would you pay for CoD if you can get Action Quake or C-S instead? ;)

CoD is basically Quake with real-life guns.

It's like choosing the least painful haemorrhoid.

I'll stick to Red Orchestra 2: Rising Storm. It's an actual team game at a reasonable price from a team of developers I like. You enjoy your soon to be heavily dissapointmented overpriced games from Asshole A and Asshole B.

RO2 is a bit worse than the first one though.

The Unreal Engine 3 and slight streamlining didn't benefit it, imo.

It's the same case with Arma 3 which is the most streamlined and, even, "CoDy" (blood splashes on screen, weapon bobbing, ect.) of all the Armas.

Which is good for newcommers and those who found out for the series by DayZ but the older fans are waiting for realism-enhancing mods like ACE before they bite.

i would see this having some impact on Intel CPU, but only if the CPU's in PS4 and X1 were really state of the art.

they are running Tablet CPU's for crying out loud.

Even my Intel Dual Core can keep up with it.

ZoomZoom2490

Well they are APU designs.

You can't have both, a great CPU and GPU "glued" together,

They picked better GPUs at expense of lower CPUs.

Stickies are stupid, everyone having conversations on top of each other, they stifle conversation.

Finally someone says it. ;)

But it's to prevent thread flooding/spamming I guess.

Well the game is just too big and too hyped to not succeed.

Still, I think not putting it on more platforms is lost sales and audience for Rockstar.

Well, the industry was clearly much younger back then and easier to impress, however, if you were there back then, then you should know what an impact a fully 3D and massive game like Ocarina of Time had back then.

It was something not seen before on consoles and envied even by PC gamers.

Of course today the times are different and it's much harder to impress the gaming crowd so I doubt we will ever see a game topping OoT in the profound effect it had in it's time.

Altho I personally think atleast part of the reason why OoT is regarded so highly is simply hype.

Which doesn't mean that it wasn't a highly important game, but calling it "best game of all times" is simply personal opinion.

That's more because fantasy tracks based on real-world locations are not that popular in today's racers.

The old Need For Speed and Test Drive games were taking place on diverse and interesting "civil" tracks whereas most tracks in today's racers are boring race courses.

You had the "snowy", "desert", "canyon", "coastal", "forest", "highway", "city", "industrial", ect. type tracks that today's racers tend to lack, unless they are completely arcade-style like NFS: Hot Pursuit.

F-Zero GX for sure.

But as far as car racing is concerned, I guess the NFS: Underground and Burnout games. (note that Burnout 3 was not released on NGC so Burnout 2 is best bet)

Of course there's also Mario Kart: Double Dash and, if it counts, Wave Race: Blue Storm.

And if you want more simulation-oriented racing, there's NASCAR: Dirt to Daytona.
