I don't think he is worried about heat since it is on standby. I think he is worried about damage from the sun. There will be no problem if the PS3 is on standby as it doesn't generate any real heat at all.

Just make sure your cat or kid isn't gonna accidentally press the PS button on your controller and turn it on while you are sleeping. But even that probably wouldn't generate enough heat to kill it.

Without a DOUBT the little door that opens up on the front exposing all the archaic conectors.

After that, the Blu-Ray drive.

Where is this imaginarydoor you speak of? *coughs and rolls eyes*

What? You bought a PS3 WITHOUT this most awesome of features? I admit, it is highly suspect of Sony to even PRODUCE a PS3 without this little feature, but someone in Sony's vast think-tank of stupidity did, and now it has landed squarely in your living room. Poor you. *Runs to worship the PS3 door*

[QUOTE="djsifer01"][QUOTE="kyrissbp82"]You definitely want to get an HDMI cable. Component cable CANNOT carry a 1080p signal. HDMI is the only cable that will carry a true digital signal for you. Check out Amazon. You can get a good cable for $10 or less. Don't let companies like Monster trick you into buying an expensive cable, you will not be able to tell the difference.SporkFireXPS

Not true. there is a diffrence bettween cheap HDMI and Monster. I went to 2 weeks of training on moster cable and there is a huge diffrence.

HDMI is a digital signal, 1's and 0's, or in other words it either works or it doesn't work. There is no middle ground with HDMI.

Oh YEAH!!!?? What if it drops all the ZEROs and replaces them with 42s?

[QUOTE="FireSong23"]hate to burst everyones bubble but rayman 2 was a ps one game too... im almost positive that the ps1 version will be on psn, not ps2... just sayingFireSong23

http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/action/rayman2revolution/index.html?tag=result;title;6

that was easy.

you were thinking of this

I know what i was thinking of, i have the game, loved it too but my point is that the article is probably a mistake, chances are its The Great Escape going on PSN, logically it makes sense, there has been no word from sony about PS2 on PSN and why wouldn't they promote it? also why would the first PS2 game be Rayman? Its much simpler to think that the article is simply mistaken

NAA NA NA NAA NA NA NAA I'm gonna start a Fight.

Since you have tried without the router even in the loop I doubt this will help. But, always makesure you have the latest firmware installed on your router. Farcry 2 was unplayable online until I updated my router.

I doubt it would void the warranty since the instruction manual that comes with the PS3 even tells you how to remove the hardrive. The harddrive is behind the door on the bottom (or left edge) of the PS3. It is quite thoroughly explained in the manual.

When you install a newly purchased hardrive, the PS3 will by default want to format it. However, if this is something you are not comfortable doing then I would certainly advise against it. But it is how people have managed to get there PS3's storage capacity up to 500GB or more.

Yep. Price, for one. Like, buying a Bentley instead of a Smart. Someone may care, but who cares that they do?
