This is a strange issue. On IE10 and IE11, the "sign in" spot in the upper left corner will not display. Also, no comments will show on any articles. Signing in and comments display fine on Chrome.

However, if I search for anything(I typed in ghghghgh), the search box says "a barren wasteland", another page loads, and presto I can see the sign in spot and can sign in. After I have signed in, all comments are visible again. However, if I sign out, the comments disappear and the sign on spot is once again gone.

I have reset my browser, deleted temporary internet files, set the browser to always load newer versions of a webpage.

This is the single weirdest technical issue I have seen regarding Gamespot's site.

I feel the same way. I didn't pay out for the longer subscription though. I have already canceled my month-to-month sub. I might revisit the game in a year or so, but probably not. It is justtoo boring for me.

[QUOTE="jirka_w"]

I have to disagree with both of you (and probably majority of MOO fans), the MOO 3 was the best 4X game I ever played. I am desperatelly waiting for any better game (or at least better than MOO 1 or MOO 2).

Has anybody tried to play StarDrive on the highest difficulty? How many hours did you need to win on the max difficulty?

The AI cheats at max difficulty. It is extremely competitive but i would not recommend it since i hate any kind of cheating

The developer has stated the AI does NOT cheat, but does get bonuses in order to compete with a human (On higher difficulty). Perhaps the AI getting bonuses is a form of cheating and this may just be splitting hairs.

Personally, cheating to me is if the AI were to be able to colonize without building ships, produce massive armies with not maintenance cost, instantly spawn a large fleet or massive amount of troops. Simply getting bonuses to production or research just doesn't ring the same tone as "cheating". That simply simulates that the AI has better management or better production facilities than you. In much the same way one country may be able to massively outproduce another here on Earth. Not really cheating, just better conditions. The higher producing country STILL has to produce. Can't snap its fingers and hit the WIN button.

.... I'll only get EA games out of the bargain bucket in future.

LordRork

Or used, where the publisher makes nothing anyway. Well, on games that SUPPORT used sells. Simcity, of course, would not work.

Yes. You can delay the Priority Research objectives as long as you like. The UFOs and missions will keep coming and panic will keep growing though.

I have the firestorm with the fusion lance and still have not attacked the overseer ship. I am taking my time.

This has given me the opportunity to have firestorms on every continent with the fusion lance in each one.

Yes, autosave is not on be default. You must enable it. And also manually save often.

It could have been the "Bonus" stuff downloading I guess. Seems a large download for that though. But no worries.

The line-of-sight system is not perfect in this game. But it is very functional and enjoyable. Honestly, if it were "perfect" then a lot of the shots I have taken, I would not even have seen the alien in the first place.
