Pot is MUCH safer than the prescription drugs we hand out.
The only way it does damage is through prolonged and very heavy use. I honestly view weed as less-destructive than cigarettes. Instead of getting cancer the worst you can get with weed is memory loss after years and years of heavy use.
Prescription drugs on the other hand can have loads of side effects some of which can be deadly. They can also be highly addictive (mainly painkillers) at times unlike marijuana which does NOT have any real physically addicting properties.
It has taken way too long to be allowed for medical use. Instead of prescribing patients sleep meds which were causing cases of sever sleepwalking maybe we can prescribe this relatively harmless herb that puts them to sleep, lets them get a good sleep, and doesn't have them sleepwalking.
it can give people schizophrenia, bi-polar and many other mental illnesses.You obviously need to go educate yourself on the subject if you think pot can in any way lead to mental illness....
And just an FYI, it isn't pot but prescription meds that can bring about schizophrenia. A friend of mine had to be taken off ritalin after it had her hearing things and then consertia after it was making her see things.
