loved Dragon Quest 8 (PS2). It is cell shaded as opposed to realistic graphics so it kind of holds up. Also, did you play Eternal Sonata? Check it out.

I already AM looking forward to: Tiger Woods 2010, Bioshock 2, Assassin's Creed 2, Uncharted 2, Dragon Age: Origins, The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf (if it still comes out), and of course.... God of War 3

Best: Uncharted, Elder Scrolls: Oblivion (Game of the Year Edition), Assassin's Creed, Bioshock, MLB 09: The Show, Little Big Planet, Burnout: Paradise

'Burnout: Paradise' is the best value in a video game on Earth right now, followed closely by 'The Elder Scrolls'... although it's slowly becoming a little outdated. 'Assassin's Creed' is a great story and historically interesting plot. 'Bioshock' and 'Little Big Planet' have awesome game environments and 'Uncharted' doesn't do anything amazing, but might just be the most fun all around.

Overrated: 'Ninja Gaiden: Sigma'

Seriously, you could play Oblivion every day for a year and not see everything there is to see in the game. It's an incredibly deep story and even after you "beat" the main quest, you can go back and do it all again with a completely different character.. and cosequently, have a very different exerience. You'll be astounded by the size of the world and the detail of literally everything you see.. Everyone is voting MGS4 because it's the newest thing... Your specific questions would lead me to answer with Oblivion, though.
