Reading through the comments here has been interesting. It's great knowing there are so many fellow Xbox Spinter Cell fans(1, 2 & 3). Overall I happen to agree with Splinter Cell Conviction destroying the culture / equity of the original games. I totally agree if they want to sell lots of games by going down the action path then create a new character and a new game (with new voice talent). Sam was smart, intelligent and dark and mysterious. All he cared about was his daughter and the odd joke with Lambert. The fact that he had grey hairs and was a bit of a veteran just made him even cooler. How cool was that level where he sneaks onto the train to speak with his old army buddy who owns the private security company. Anyway the new Splinter Cell looks really lame, as does Assasins Creed. I think they've both dropped the ball. I understand it's a tough economy... but when things pick up I hope some developers decide to break the mould and step outside there comfort zones and do something really risky and really brilliant.
