Hee hee. Playing horror games with friends tends to alleviate the tension. Getting drunk can have either the same or opposite effect though. It varies. Anyway, watching this encouraged me to play more horror games while drunk: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXwkfSmYkf4

OH MY GOD THE STICKERS - those are pretty much the most annoying things ever. I mean come on. Every other store has stickers that SOMEHOW come of easily, it can't be that hard to do.

Gamestop sucks. Although I admit I went there on boxing day and got a few games (and I'd be lying if I said thats the only time I've gone there). I felt awful. Nobody in the gaming community really respects Gamestop, and rightfully so - they don't deserve respect for what they do. Anyway, I wonder if I could get people to share their amusing/frustrating experiences as a customer at Gamestop.

I'll start with an unusually positive one. I was at one and someone was trying to buy the Clash of the Titans game (based on the movie). The guy working there outright refused to sell it to this woman because it was a horrid game. I thought it was very commendable of him. But thats the only positive experience I've had there.

Every time I go there I always have an employee approach me and say, "Hey, so how about that (upcoming game) trailer? Pretty sweet huh?". And they always try with apparent desperation to get me to buy strategy guides. But I have no outrageous/hilarious particular occurences in my mind. How about you guys?

Gamespot reviews are tagged with emblems that describe some of a game's shortcomings or advantages. One of the emblems is the 'Oh Snap!' emblem which means that a part in the reviewed game made the reviewer go 'Oh snap!'. This is pointless. Think about what I am about to say. This basically means there is a part where you say 'Wow! That's pretty cool.' There is at least one of these in almost EVERY game. Most decent reviews WILL have this emblem. Emblems are pointless if 95 percent of games will get the emblem.

Me and my friend were taking turns playing GTA4. We were getting tired of it, so I got up and walked towards the Xbox, ready to switch discs. Then, out of nowhere, the RED RING came onto my xbox. I screamed - literally - and did the first thing my reflexes allowed me to. My body proceeded to fling intself towards the wall and unplugged the Xbox. My friend had also seen it. We sat there for ten minutes, contemplating our options. Then we decided I was going to plug it back in and turn it back on - so i did. And guess what? It worked fine. That was a couple months ago and its worked fine ever since.

You can choose if you want to believe me or not, and if you dont I dont blame you. I really can't see any logic in what happened. But it did happen, and I know that for a fact, and so does my friend, the witness. So, when you get the RROD, do what I did - lunge at the outlet and unplug that thing IMMEDIATELY.

All you fanboys have no life. The Playstation 3 and the Xbox 360 are both great consoles. There are advantages and disadvantages to each console, but in the end, they are both equally great. It really only boils down to control preference. I have compiled this list of each console's pros and cons. Personally, I only own a 360, but I have tried to reduce bias as much as possible. I don't want people coming here being like "HEY 360 fanboy!! your gay thats not true!! ps3 owns!", if you wish to do so, please have a valid reason. Also, add stuff to the list I may have missed.

XBOX 360

Pros

-Cheaper

-Better Online Experience

-Netflix

-Halo 3

-Left 4 Dead

Cons

-Red Ring of Death

PS3

Pros

-Quieter

-Blu-Ray

-Metal Gear Solid 4

-Free Online Play

-While in messaging, it searches for closest words (very useful)

-Web Browsing

Cons

-Bigger

My dream is that, instead of two or three consoles fighting for supremacy, there is one mega-console. You could buy every game, and play online with everybody, and it would make the world a better place....I call it: The PSWii60!

mrfidget: Resident Evil 5 is being released next year, and as you may know, it takes place in Africa. Many people have since been accusing Capcom of being racist for choosing to pop a cap in a black guy's ass, instead of (a more socially acceptable) shooting a white man. This is ridiculous. It is. It truly is. When the previous RE games took place in the US, or in Spain, nobody called it racism when you were killing White or Spanish zombies. If noticed alot of instances involving black people have the same result: side with the black people. Take this recent conversation I had with my friend: (starting somewhere in the middle of the conversation)

Me:"......black guy."

Friend:"Dude, don't say 'black'."

Me:"What? Why not?"

Friend:"Cuz it's racist."

Me:"How is that racist?"

Friend:"It just is. You gotta say 'African-American'."

Me:"I don't like saying that. 'Black' has way less syllables."

Friend:"Racist."

To the white people who read this: Do you REALLY wanna be called Caucasian? I, for one, prefer the term 'White'. And if you agree, then why do you insist that saying 'Black' is racist? I understand nowaday, being a racist is like the worst possible tag you can have. Everyone will hate you. But white people are now SO AFRAID of being tagged a racist, that they insist on treating black people like our superiors. They side with them, never joke with them or pick a fight with them, and NEVER make racist jokes. Racist jokes are the funniest! But now people are afraid to say a racist joke about black people even when there's no black people around! Because you'll never know who might going crying to the nearest black guy. White people don't want to be considered racist, they assume that they themselves represent black people by saying "Thats racist", but as I far as I know, black people (at least most of them) don't really care about being called black. If you know a black guy who wants to be called African-American, I really think he should be punched in the face. Same thing goes for any white guy who wants to be called caucasian.

dannyodwyer: I can call my friends black overe here because they're not 'African-American'. From here it looks like African-Americans are very sensative about it, like its a sort of safety blanket or somthing. Then again from our perspective there seems to be a lot more racism in the States too. I know i dont call my English friends Anglo-Saxon anyway.

Ash2X: In GTA:SA it was no problem to shoot "black" aka "negroid" aka "colored" people, but in a game that plays in a African or Africa-like area people start crying.

CronoSquall: GTA: SA got a pass because the main character himself is black. Chris is a "white authority figure holding the black man down" remember? People in the US love to look for absolutely any reason to play the race card, and will do so for the tiniest and stupidiest of reasons. It's why racism in general is being taken less seriously, it's boy who cried wolf syndrome. So many people these days use their race as an excuse that people just assume all claims of racism are false. Which means real incidents of racism are getting overlooked. Pretty shameful stuff, but when it comes to my fellow countrymen, I've learned how to constantly lower my standards and accept the fact that the majority of people in this country are just shy, speaking in terms of intelligence, of being zombies themselves. Though to the media rather than an evil corporation that made a super virus. Umbrella got it all wrong, they should have invested in their own news channel, they could still have a legion of brainless zombies at their disposal, just without the unleasant odor of rotting flesh.

Sins-of-Mosin: People will always play the race card when it serves them. Even rich NFL players will use it to make excuses for their horrible playing.

mrfidget: Black guys who choose to be a p*s*y and play the race card are gay but unquestioned. If a white guy tried to play the race card, then he would be attacked from all angles and most likely sued as well(its likely in today's society).

ONLYDOD: It is pretty ridiculous, you don't hear any Japanese people complaining about you having to kill a bunch of Japanese people as a Caucasian American in SIREN: Blood Curse.

FURTHER DICUSSION PLEASE:

So, I have this party I was planning coming up, and I also have a dilemma for which the answer isn't to be found anywhere on the internet.

If I wanted to play a system link game of Farcry:Instincts between an Xbox and an Xbox 360, what would I need? Becuase I'm not sure if connecting each one to the same modem will create a system link game. Will it? Do I really need those silly system link cables?

Like I previously said, it's only the racism against black people that gets negative attention. Everyone thinks killing Japanese people is fine, because we never enslaved them. Black people need to get over the whole slave thing, it's long gone.
