Microsoft is having a hard time getting more exclusives out compared to PS4. They could do more with Rare games, Crytek as a company and others. A real shame for the people who were interested in Scalebound, this would've made a huge exclusive.

I did hear somewhere that Major Nelson is going on a tour trough Japan on behave of Microsoft to license new games for Xbox. I'll just wait till the E3, I got enough to play until then and hopefully Microsoft will be able to show some good

Get EA access, with Mass Effect you have 3 great RPG Third Person Shooters, you have more sports games, arcade games and if you want to try FPS, Battlefield 4 and Hardline. Don't make a fool of me, but Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare is an awesome Third Person Shooter as well.

for a third person RPG consider the Witcher 3 (or 2 as that one is backwards compatible), these aren't necessarily easy, but changing difficulty to the lowest of the low should help you quite a bit.

Another Third Person RPG is Final Fantasy XV, one I personally recommend because of the awesome world, and many hunts, something the witcher 3 offers as well, but the witcher might be overwhelming.

A smaller third Person RPG who, although isn't as good as the games above by far, but still a bit fun is the Technomancer.

The 4th RPG is my favorite game of 2014, that is Shadow of Mordor

other great third person games to try are: Mad Max, Deadpool, GTA 5, Saints Row, Mafia 3, Assassin's Creed, Ryse: Son of Rome, Sun Set Overdrive, Batman, Quantum Break, Sleeping Dogs, Watch Dogs

a racer that's much like Forza Horizon 3 but not exactly the same is the Crew.

All the games I've mentioned here above are Games I do not regret playing.

@robert11 When working in a gamestore I had questions like these so let me help you out!

a. the PS4 controller is more suitable for a kid but a xbox controller would do fine. when looking at the systems itself I'd say I'd like the interface of the Xbox better + it's easier to use (consumer friendly)

b. Yes, but there aren't many co-op games as of late! on the back of a game there are a few yellow squares witch say if a game can be played co-op and if a game can be played online. good kids game's that can be played with 2 players are all lego games, they are a lot of fun, also for parents to play along if they want. other co-op game for kids is plants vs zombies Garden Warfare, a shooter without blood or gory stuff. very populair single player game is Minecraft.

c. there aren't really a lot of games for a 6 year old if you believe the rating system, however 12+ games aren't more violent, they are a bit more difficult. these games can provide a healthy challenge.

Final tip when looking for games is a tip I'd use to give every parent, know what your kid is doing and how he behaves, don't be a afraid to take away his console if he starts to get violent or aggressive, teach him that some things are for games only, not real life!

I like achievements, Not gonne hunt everything, because some are to grindy or hard. at the moment i'm busy with the Skyrim remaster, got 1140G (out of 1550) haven't finished the story yet, been collecting achievements since starting it up.

my GS is 86637 at the moment, considering I don't hunt achievements in every single game I like tot hink that its a fair score

You need to get all territory's, but it's easy. You'll get about twice the objectives you'll actually need and If you ransack every place till their is no cash left you can skip to the main missions rather quickly.

I personally liked trying out different stealth techniques and run and gun action, from sniping to knifing everyone out. the fact that the objectives can be done repeatedly with the same tactics does not mean you have to, try to spice it up yourself and you'll might enjoy taking out every single enemy in the game.

I think that GTA5 story would be the best for offline play, and is rather large in gameplay if you'll ry out every single thing the game has to offer.

Forza Horizon 3 will be dull without online access so I should cross that.

When you buy your Xbox, check out Rainbow Six Siege if you want a strategic shooter, and Hitman for solid stealth with a lot of fun features.

Forza Horizon 3 is a great racing game, but Forza Motorsport 6 as well, it's not hard to get into Motorsport, take your time, low difficulty and enjoy it. then when thinks get easy and you cranck up difficulty's, either better AI or harder controls, both optional, don't fear Forza's difficulty.

When you get GTA 5, make sure to let me know, always looking for new players to do missions with, make money and from time to time fool around with.

Personally I loved Ryse: Son of Rome, it's a graphical game, fun to play with a friend online and the story, even though it is not 100% historically true is still fun to play.

If you loved Sunset Overdrive you might like the unserious over the top Saints Row 4 as well.

For diversity, get an EA acces account, Fun shooter Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare (1&2), serious shooters Battlefield 4 and Hardline, Mirror's Edge Catalyst, Star Wars Battlefront, Unraveled, Need for Speed Rivals and NFS 2016, that's beside the ridiculous amount of sports games you'll also get.
