Are you guys standing up to play? I'm only an hour in so the sword fighting has been minimal. I've gotten away so far with laying down.

Games stress me out.

I don't have much free time now that I'm a few years beyond University. There are so many great games I want to play, but the feeling of having to put in 10+ hours per game and there are maybe 20 games I'm behind on.

I don't MMO but I do want to play Diablo 3 and TOR looks great. No TIME!

PC: Doom Series (Never really liked it) or Starcraft 1 (It just doesn't have as much as AoE or Warcraft, I love to resource collect and there is only one thing that really matters for the most part as vespian gas is usually plentiful). Multiplat: GTA4, it had cool wow moments, but the game has a low of downtime Wii: I would say Epic Mickey based on fan hype, but gamespot actually got it right, or maybe a tad low. Xbox: Alan Wake, or Gears (only for it's terribly story line, i loved the gameplay) PS3: Metal Gear Solid 4 -- one of the only games I haven't played through in my collection. I never played the first three which I think may be the problem.

I don't have any problems with a review. It's a personal opinion of a player. You cannot expect everyone to love everything. What I would like to see though is some of the other Gamespot editors give a second opinion on games.

I'm a little surprised. I suppose after I play through it myself I can see whether the average score or gamespot is more accurate.

I fail to see how the launch was not a success.

1 Milion units in 10 days seems pretty impressive so far. Especially when christmas shopping is less than a month away.

The Kinect will sell like the Wii did, via word of mouth. People went to someone else's house, saw it, and then bought it. The general public do not check gaming websites everyday too see when products are going to be released. It takes time for a phone tree to get going.

I tried it at one of those temporary Kinect Stores over the weekend. It's actually pretty cool. I was expecting to not like it. Of course, there aren't really the 'hardcore' games to warrant a purchase yet, but for party games with the family it's great fun.

As for the technology, it's pretty impressive. I just wish microsoft had the nintendo game developers working on it.

I want to go back to handhelds I just don't have the time. There are too many quality games constantly coming out that I have no time to beat them. Once I finally beat the games on my shelf I'll get started on all those greats you just listed. Then again that may never happen, every year more and more good games are released. I can't wait for the summer slow down (if there is one this year).

[QUOTE="mistablair"]Can we stop playing this "hype" game many of you seem to be caught up in and start discussing what was up with that review. I didn't realize how much worse MLB 10 was to 09. Does the author recommend people buy that version instead?SaltyMeatballs
That's not how reviews work. Better sequels a lot of the time score less.

I can understand the passing of time, but over one year the reviewer appears to have a big change of heart. So, Sony's MLB10 is .5 better than the MLB 2K10 360 game, which is .5 better than the PS3 2k10 version. It just doesn't seem right that minor changes equal a .5 difference and The Show is only a little better 2K. Is 2K10 as good as the Show 09?
