They should turn this into a Kickstarter with Rock*. That way people will actually have committed the cash. I have a feeling that out of those 200,000 signatures, a large majority will not be buying it at full retail price.

EA is not the worst company.

There are companies that use child slaves (actual slaves), there are companies that use harsh labour conditions in sweat shops. The average dev salary was $88k, so it's hardly in league with those.

There are also companies that make cigarettes, bullets, and chemical weapons. There are companies designed just to mail and email spam.

There are bankers that have helped cause the largest global downturn in decades. Many of you probably are looking at bleak job offers out of school because of this.

EA is not the worst company.

I buy many new games a year and trade in those games in groups of 2s or 3s to buy other new games.

I would buy less new games a year without those "soft dollars" i get from trade in.

My point is, without used games sales, I wouldn't be surprised if new games sales do not go up as much as certain developers think. My 20 games I buy would end up being more like 15. I would think there are others like me out there.

My issue is that I got the game at launch. Initially, everywhere I went was overflowing with people. Now I get maybe 1 or 2 other people on a planet I am on. I work during the day and don't have time to play non-stop when I get home. When I do play I like to get as many missions done as I can. (still not level 50 because I do have other games/activities)

Each time I log in and I just look back to the earlier days and wonder what could have been. I am unable to do any Heroic quests or flashpoints. I still really enjoy the game, but feel I'm missing out on lots of the content.

Just throw everyone on to a few servers. People complaining about overloaded servers is probably a much better problem.

@DeViLzzz You only have to play through the first few. After you beat a tournament you can start your character at the top cup in order to get the "star" ability.

@vchadl I don't think games will be cheaper. All the console makers are doing is replacing physical stores as middle men with themselves as digital middlemen. They want those few extra dollars for themselves.

I like digital downloads, however, in Canada I have a cap on how much I can download. Yes there are alternatives, but mainstream and affordability speaking, bandwidth is expensive. One can only watch so many netflix movies before you get the warning email from the ISP. My point is, in the USA I understand ISPs are moving towards that system, similar to how the cell phone companies have been. As game files grow larger, people (like me) are less inclined to download a 10GB+ game.

I also wonder how game companies are going to handle the relationship with Gamestop, Walmart, Best Buy etc. when they want to push their new systems. The stores are the sales people that drive their sales. I doubt they want to frustrate them completely. Shelf space and promotions are valuable, when I check out Live, PSN or the App Store, I am not very impressed. Unless I know what I'm looking for going in, I can't really get a good idea of what's available to me. I rely on websites to tell me what good Apps/Games are because I wouldn't find them otherwise.

@polterdice Agreed. Their digital distribution is growing too, and they are (or were) debt free. They may close stores or stop buying back so many used games, but closing down would be foolish.

$5 is $5. Even at $1 it should be worth it.

Hmmm. Disappointing. How does it compare to the simple Mario Tennis 64? Is the tennis gameplay on par?
