While it's amazing to see a AAA single player game win these awards all these years later, the reason unfortunately is, single player experiences like Witcher 3 are becoming more and more rare because of all the social multiplayer garbage nowadays. I can't go a week without seeing a news article about PUBG's player population on Steam, or how Bungie is continuing to screw the pooch with Destiny 2.
@koospetoors: Thank you. Glad to see this kind of response to this pathetic excuse of a top comment.
"If you liked it you don't care about Star Wars"?
**** off you pretentious ****. I've been watching these movies, building Lego sets and playing these games for 20 years, and you think you can say what I don't care about. Kindly take your paragraphs and shove them up your ass.
Doesn't stop the review bombing (which is absolutely justified in many cases), and instead gives potential customers a histogram so they can pinpoint when said bombing took place, reads about it, then makes their purchasing decision.
@RSM-HQ: I won't deny that it will be a great experience, I was just holding out hope that it would tick all the boxes. Guess I can hope for Sonic Mania 2 or whatever they do next.
@RSM-HQ: I want a game better than S3&K. I thought fan-hackers knew that better than anyone. They probably did, and I'd wager that Sega tied their hands, because only hedgehogs have used super states ever since.
