This is a problem I have thought about from time to time, but never really dived deeper into. And it would be interesting to see if others share similair feelings etc. I often feel like when I take a game or games in general serious I can get anxious and stressful feeling about them. It can be in regards of different things.

I think the most common thing is that anxious feeling when you feel you don't have time to play all the games you want, or like you have to stress playing. I have this a bit but it is not my biggest problem.

Things I get more anxious about is for example "spoilers" or something related to that. It does not even have to make sense as a spoiler. For example I remember I was going to REPLAY Bioshock 2. So I had finished the whole game before, but before I started playing this second time I read something about the plot (that I already had experienced) and this nagged at me in a way that made it so I could not enjoy the game the second time. Other times I get anxious when I feel I am playing a game the "wrong way" etc etc. For example my favorite series is Elder Scrolls. And I have always been playing it as one character, doing everything etc and really really enjoying it. But then I read many people play it more with roleplay and several characters, and that made me feel like I played it "wrong" and started to get stressed out about how I play instead of just enjoying it anymore.

All the time this is happening though I can logically think that this does not make sense and is not really a problem worth being stressed about. But no matter how much I know that I just can't seem to shake that stressful feeling. Its hard to describe. It is just something that is there and nagging at you preventing you to just enjoy the game. And it only happens to the games you care most about so it seems to have some connection to be stronger the more you care about it. Do anyone know what I am talking about or have any suggestions what to do?

It needs all help it can get to not be failed by gamers once again.
