Technically, both consoles seem to be at about the same level, but there are two BIG differences that I see: PS4 has a more diverse list of games that they presented. Also, Sony seemed to be more supportive towards indie developers. The second thing that really helps Sony is that Microsoft has an absolutely absurd atittude towards gamers with Xbox One. Everybody talks about this so I don't think I need to elaborate on the subject. I'm not going to buy any of these two consoles at launch because both of them are too expensive in my opinion, but my vote goes to Sony, not beacause they did something amazing, but beacause Microsoft failed big time.
Why did they released this version?! They could have added more features or made more important changes. I don't know, maybe it's some kind of marketing strategy that I don't understand. Anyway, they didn't convinced me to buy it.
