Important Note: Be careful when creating new topics. On the New Topic page, make sure the Board box isn't set to the default - Games Discussion - otherwise you'll post your topic there. Instead, select the option in brackets - search for a specific forum - you'll have a box come up - press the x so no board is selected. Should then post to this board.

Thanks.

Been watching this - what does everyone think? Abraham was looking pretty sharp even by today's standards - always envisaged him to have a long grey beard and hair. Thought the first episode was the worst - really cheesy but gradually got better. Quite creative how they retold some of the stories. Haven't watched the last episode but the penultimate one is my favourite so far - how Jesus challenged the religious leaders was done really well.

Hope everyone is having a good Christmas. ;)

AU has risen! One of the luckiest unions to be carried over to the new GS - vast majority did not make the journey! Blessed we are!

Informed our leader recently so he'll be here soon - awaiting for our pilgrims to flock back! I'll happily be AU's moderator. :)

Merry Christmas everyone! Won't be having any of this Xmas nonsense - it's Christmas! ;)

True but we probably won't get anything like that anytime soon. Even then, I doubt that much maintenance will be needed - wouldn't worry about it. Would expect each union to become comfortable with relying on particular mods to help them out. I know I'll be helping out my unions.

Apologies, bit late here - been very busy with Christmas and unwell. Very glad to see unions are back! Took a while but we got there! I'd like to thank everyone for their support. GS was going to have unions abolished - we said no - they changed their minds! That's people power in action!

As promised: any union that needs mod support (close topics, stickying etc) do contact us or post your request in here. Personally, I'd prefer any requests posted in here - that way, I or any other mod that sees them can deal with them when we get to them. Even better: if your union already has a mod, then it shouldn't be a problem to get them to help out.

Will be difficult to get the unions back up and running but we're here to help. Please be thoughtful and reasonable in your requests. As always, mod discretion will be employed in dealing with whatever comes up. Also, we'll get to them when we get to them - don't expect immediate action, especially during the holidays. Remember: no mod is obligated to do any of this - they can refuse - so bear that in mind.

Lastly, have a very good Christmas guys! ;)

Update!:

@edgework said:

As far as I know they're ready to go. Big changes have to wait until after the PS4 launch. Its a good possibility that the new Unions will go live next week, though the XBox launch could also delay new changes. We'll see...

Starkiller: You may find without the help of mods, you won't be able to properly manage your union. I can't think of another alternative that doesn't involve a change to the actual system. And I wouldn't write off working with the CMs. They want to know what the community wants and are prepared to deliver it - you just have to communicate what that is. It takes very little effort to promote unions in the way suggested - mentioning them in announcements and spotlighting them are effective and incentivising ways of doing so.

Blabadon: It was in a convo with Syn which I no longer have access to. She is definitely pursuing the matter behind the scenes. Just takes time to get these things done.

The Last Ride: The good thing is though, with fewer unions, there's less competition. So building them up again, in a way, will be easier. And it should also be no problem getting a mod allocated to the board - they can take care of maintenance for you. I know I'll commit myself to that.

Also, I'm sure we can get the help of the CMs on promoting unions. They're very interested in showing off the unique talent and creativity in the GS Community!

Avenger: That actually made me laugh!

Unions were communities created and ran by GS users. It's basically the equivalent of a public board that you see now. Although the feature itself is gone, there are to be transfers of specific unions to boards for continuity. You can find out more information and keep up to date with the process here: http://www.gamespot.com/forums/bug-reporting-feedback-1000006/save-our-unions-29438636
