You might be able to interpret that as them indicating that playing as a prefab character isn't "real" (because, think about it, they aren't you), or that your first play through the game is "just a simulation", and that the actual real events don't actually happen until you use your own character, or until you play a agme where you finish the opening mission, which in many causes may not be your first play through.

But the game makes absolutely no mention of this kind of thing, not even when you die, and the sequel (where you play as a primitive tribal type with no technology) makes out like the events in Fallout 1 are real, so I would disregard the manual if I were you.

[QUOTE="fireandcloud"]why does marky mark look like he's playing some sort of psychopath?Tresca_

You couldn't have said it better.

We haven't even seen the movie and we can already see how great an actor he is.

Strikes me as a little unfair to judge a guy by a single picture taken entirely out of context.

Erm, I wasn't saying that you couldn't do that, but that it's one of the major reasons why people play the game is complete nonsense (although it seems you get a lot of enjoyment out of it, for whatever reason). It was nothing more than a ridiculous statement straight from a sensationalistic FOX article or something whose sole purpose was to discredit the series by ignoring its many merits and focusing on something completely irrelevant.

While I do enjoy GTA very much, my point wasn't what FOX was saying, they're ridiculous and have an agenda that I despise. My point refferred to the fact that people play the game for it's sandbox nature, and that includes beating people and ganking them. I highly doubt people play GTA for it's rich story, that's a bunch of bull. It's low fiction for the masses, it's why it has mtv appeal.

Could that rationale not also be applied to the entire first person shooter genre? No one really players a FPS for its rich storytelling. It's all about blowing brains out. If there's a good story, that's just a welcome plus.

[QUOTE="mfsa"]I played too much and I got really fat.ct1615

I lost 25lbs after i stopped playing WoW

I lost over 100lbs after quitting EverQuest.

My fatness levels were totally epic. I was like a level 75 fat. Now I guess I am about a level 5 fat.

Cowboy Bebop could be a pretty great setting for an MMO.

I was looking through my games collection for inspiration and I am trying to envisage Medieval 2 as a MMO, with each soldier being controlled by a player. Some kind of epic first person melee/real time strategy game. Could be pretty hot if the basic premise could be made to work. I've always had a thing for phalanxes and it would be cool to be a part of one.

Bloodshed, you say?

I've never seen it... but I am awfully fond of bloodshed.

i agree that WW was bad. hated that horrible godsmack(or whatever theyre called) song, cheesy gore and overall buggy unifinished game.(so many people coudnt complete the game because of a nasty bug).but what was wrong with TT? it was great !

it just needed more emphasis on an engaging story and plot. please dont tell me you consider it to be less than an "8" in your book.bawathegamer

Confession time: I haven't played it.

I'm judging it based on WW, because I got the impression that the series had entered into a downward spiral from which there was no escaping.

If it has the same tone as WW - if it has the same angry tennager feel with the nasty as hell metal music and the emo prince and the greater focus on combat and the greater focus of the combat on killing enemies violently (rather than the aesthetics of the prince's athletics as in SoT) and the same leather-clad enemies asking me if I like pain, then it is never getting my time.

I actually bought the PoP trilogy for PS2, so I do own it, but unless it's a sequel to Sands of Time rather than a sequel to Warrior Within, I'm not interested.

I had also found that - neither the resolution change nor the compatability mode seem to be working for me, but thanks for taking the time to try and help.

8800GTS 640. I have several pre-XP games that run just fine, and, yeah, Commandos 2 is fine also.

I've tried reinstalling the game a couple times as well, but that hasn't done any good.
