Steam allows me to customize the brightness and colour of the ps4 controller. Also the colour intensity of the LED on the controller. I can keep the colour constant as well. Steam treats my DS4 light with more respect than Sony.

I've been with Gamespot for a long time, my account is only a month shy of a decade old, and I was a lurker for years prior to that. The whole reason I keep coming back, despite my favourite reviewers leaving and some less likeable ones being hired, is that Gamespot isn't afraid to tell it like it is.

Gamespot doesn't feed into the bullshit hype of a game, they have consistent and thorough reviews and don't give out perfect 10s like they are going out of style. I was quite happy with the review that you gave GTA V, much moreso than I was with the perfect 10 that GTA IV got, which I'm pretty sure was just a way to try and get the communities mind off of Gerstmanngate.

I love the reviews and the news; however, the community has got to be one of the most immature and childish ones out there. I've stopped going onto the forums because there are too many idiotic tweens in your forums and comments section. If I'm looking for good conversation I would much rather hit up Polygon, Rock Paper Shotgun, or R/truegaming. Gamespot's community is among the worst gaming communities on the internet.

If Gamespot were to delete the comments section and forums altogether I think this site would be improved ten-fold.

My impression from Indie Game: The Movie, is that Fish likes to make a habit out of bitching, moaning and getting butthurt whenever things don't go precisely his way. I don't know how stressful it can be being self employed in the video game industry but I think he's in for a rude awakening when he returns to the job market.

Bubonic plague still exists, and is only treatable if caught early. 2012 saw cases of bubonic in the USA and China, among other locations. Bubonic is exceedingly rare, but our major population centres combined with modern air travel means that it's still a danger if left unchecked.

The Aztecs and Native Americans may disagree with you. While we can apply anti-biotics and vaccines today, thereby greatly decreasing risk of epidemics, there are bacteria immune to know anti-biotics, and more resistant ones being created by our overuse of them today. Vaccines take time to discover and administrate to populations; we still haven't found one for aids and it's been over 30 years. Not much we can / have / should do(ne) to mitigate the risks, but knowledge is power.

Tsk, editing over David Attenborough to paraphrase exactly what he was explaining in the original audio.

I would much rather Sega get that money than either other creditors or THQ's shareholders.

This kind of knee-jerk reactionary lawmaking is simply people wanting to find a scapegoat to pin their problems on. The kid in question was obviously a disturbed individual with a multitude of problems both emotionally and mentally. His environment while being raised and the ease of acquiring weapons are much more serious issues that whether or not a video game desensitized him to violence. There hundreds of million, probably billions of men, women and children who have played violent video games and have NO TROUBLE separating fiction from reality. Just because one insane individual happened to partake in our hobby does NOT mean that the correlation equals causation.

@makryu I don't follow, I've been playing the series since Civ II and V is a great game.

Sure it's not the most efficiently programmed, it's a resource hog and the vanilla version of the game has quite a few balance issues, but there are countless great things about it too.

Embarkation is a wonderful addition to the series, one unit per tile and units usually survive engagements works perfectly with the new hex grid. Any balance issues are easily solvable thanks to the active and SUPPORTED modding community. Civ V has a mod browser built right into the UI.All in all I love Civ V, and I think it's second only to IV in the series. I say IV is better in the way that an SLR Maclaren is better than a Dodge Viper. They both rock.
