I'll do ratings,too:(1-5)

ALttP:

Hyrule Castle (1)- 1 (Short,easy,and boring)

Eastern Palace- 3 (Not hard. The boss can give you some trouble if it's your first playthrough)

Desert Palace- 3 (See Eastern Palace)

Tower of Hera- 2 (Way too easy, but I gave it an extra point for the boss. It's tough when it starts moving fast)

Hyrule Castle (2)- 4 (I liked fighting Aghanim, but it was easy)

Palace of Darkness- 5 (One of my favorites in the game. Boss is challenging)

Swamp Palace- 4 (The boss was too easy,so -1 point)

Skull Dungeon- 3 (Boss was frustrating, and it was very confusing)

Theif's Hideout- 2 (I dunno why,I just never liked this one)

Ice Palace- 5 (Challenging and very long. The boss was a little hard)

Misery Mire- 4 (See Swamp Palace)

Turtle Rock- 1 (Oh my God,why does everyone think it's so hard? It was incredibly easy for me)

Ganon's Castle(or was it tower...)- 5 (I thought it was actually harder than Ganon)

I'll post OoT,MM,and WW ratings tomorrow.

JRyan16

Uh, I don't think we were really including bosses in our ratings.

BTW, Turtle Rock is really hard, there's no way it's a 1.

Well, I rented and beat Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, which means I've played all of the MGS's (but not the old Metal Gears or the Acids). I thought MGS2 was a pretty good game. I think I'm one of the few that didn't hate Raiden. I definitely like Snake better, but Raiden isn't horrible.

My main criticism of the game is that the boss fights didn't seem up to par with the ones from the other two games. The only one that gave me real problems was the Metal Gear army near the end of the game.

Overall, I'd say this is the weakest game in the series (I still think it's great, though). I didn't really see what people meant by "meandering dialogue" except for at the end of the game when...your CODEC team tells you some stuff (I don't want to spoil anything).

Spoilers ahead!

Things I liked about the game:

Big Shell
Vamp
The Sword
Solid being an ally

Things I didn't like:

Robo-Colonel (I like the original, human Colonel Campbell better)
Awkward CODEC conversations
Fatman (WTF!?)
Raiden's hair.

[QUOTE="Gary_Jinfield"]

Actually it was for disruptive posting, but oh well.:P

At any rate, how goes the PM reading nuck?:P

And does anyone watch a show called Smallville?

RandomHero1337

The only time I ever watched it was last night because I was a little curious, and it happened to be the episode in which Clark's "father" dies. It depressed me a bit because, as I mentioned a few weeks ago, my father also passed away... but other than that I thought it was pretty good.

I don't like that show. It turned Superman into some teen drama thing. Then again, I have a deep hatred towards the WB (ok, I guess it isn't the WB anymore, but I what was formerly known as the WB).

There are several that I like. Here are some.

“Oh, insolent one who has brought the unthinkable into a land as dark as Ikana... My servants have fallen namelessly before the light that guides you. The darkness in which my servants live is, after all, fleeting. However... You shall see with your own eyes... just what kind of thing true darkness really is…”-Igos du Ikana

"You have met with a terrible fate, haven't you?"-Mask Salesman

"A puppet who can no longer be used is mere garbage. This puppet's role has ended."-Majora's Mask

There are others I can't place right away.

It's a new generation of Zelda so there will be a new look for the characters.

The OOT generation-Pretty medieval
The WW generation-Cartoony
The TP generation-Mature, kind of sci-fi-ish and scary

Gary_Jinfield

I liked medieval.:P And you forgot about MM which had a feeling of surrealness.

Why do I mention MM? Well, Tp seems to have a mixture of midievalness with Link and all yet, surrealness with the Twilight Realm.

Well, at first I was thinking MM was in the OOT generation (same basic graphics). But now that you mention it, Termina didn't really feel medieval. Termina has a unique style that I like. It seems like TP might be a little closer to that style. Mixing the surreal with the medieval...I have a good feeling about TP.

[QUOTE="RandomHero1337"] [QUOTE="nazguldragon15"] [QUOTE="Legend_O_Dragon"]Anyone seen Pirates yet? Ima see it tommorrow. Looks good. lil_angel

Hey, I haven't seen you here for a while. I'm going to see it today if the tickets aren't sold out. My friends said it's really confusing.

Some of the people that reviewed the movie mentioned how it might be a little bit confusing if you haven't seen the first movie. I personally have seen the first movie a countless number of times (and thought that it was great, by the way), so I'm not worried about not understanding what's going on.

So, besides the movie being a bit confusing, is the sequel as great as the predecessor?

People who say a movie is confusing if you haven't seen its predecessor are annoying. I mean, come on! That's like watchiing Return of the King, before you watch Fellowship and the Two Towers! Duh!

I saw Kingdom of Heaven yesterday. Not too bad...

I also watched the first Matrix again, since I couldn't remember all that happened in it. I wanted to see how he killed Smith originally. Nice.

the original matrix is a very good movie, been a while since Ive seen it though...

Too bad they butchered it with the third movie. The second one was not as great as the first ether, well I guess that depends.:P

Its been six years since I last went to a movie theater.....

Matrix 1 was the only good Matrix. 6 years :? Do you get them on pirate or summat then. Coz me, I wouldn't want to wait for the DVD release to see it.

I liked all 3 of them, but I must say that Revolution was pretty stupid.

I don't think WW can even compete with MM. I chose MM, it's way deeper.
