Would be pretty sweet, if you could have a multiplayer component where your teammates take part in the boarding raids or pilot the smaller vessels. Add in some 4x pieces as well and gaming heaven. Looks pretty sweet by itself too though!

That would be because they play hardball and have used less than ethical business practices. They set themselves up as a monopoly in PC operating systems as well as office products. So no they aren't dumb but that doesn't mean they can do all the crap they try to sell as well. They just are better at tricking the suckers into believing it.

At one point it was career suicide to write an honest review of a MS product. MS would blacklist the reviewer and his company so they weren't invited back. Naturally MS got good reviews on all of their products, surprise surprise.
