My opinion about Xbox One and Playstation 4's library of racing games so far.....

Dear viewers on my page.

It's about 6 years after the launch of the Xbox One and PS4 and I wanted to show up my opinion on these 2 consoles' library of racing games.

So far Forza Motorsport (XB1) and Gran Turismo (PS4) both have driving physics, menu IU and graphics improvement but the issue so far, some cars and tracks are absent due to licensing expiration.

Pros for XB1 & PS4:

  • Having a good amount of 1st party racers that I enjoyed:
    • Driveclub (Arcade Street Racing) (PS4)
    • Forza Horizon 2 (Arcade Street Racing) (XB1)
    • Forza Horizon 3 (Arcade Street Racing) (XB1)
    • Forza Horizon 4 (Arcade Street Racing) (XB1)
    • Forza Motorsport 5 (Sim Racing) (XB1)
    • Forza Motorsport 6 (Sim Racing) (XB1)
    • Forza Motorsport 7 (Sim Racing) (XB1)
    • Gran Turismo Sport (Sim Racing) (PS4)
  • Having a vast amount of 3rd party racers:
    • Assetto Corsa (Sim Racing)
    • Burnout Paradise Remastered (Arcade Street Racing)
    • DiRT 4 (Sim Racing)
    • DiRT Rally (Sim Racing)
    • DiRT Rally 2.0 (Sim Racing)
    • Project Cars (Sim Racing)
    • Project Cars 2 (Sim Racing)
    • Formula 1 2015 (Sim Racing)
    • Formula 1 2016 (Sim Racing)
    • Formula 1 2017 (Sim Racing)
    • Formula 1 2018 (Sim Racing)
    • Formula 1 2019 (Sim Racing)
    • Gravel (Arcade Off-Road Racing)
    • GRID 2019 (Standard Arcade Racer)
    • Need For Speed Rivals (Arcade Street Racing)
    • Need For Speed 2015 (Arcade Street Racing)
    • Need For Speed Payback (Arcade Street Racing)
    • Need For Speed Heat (Arcade Street Racing)
    • The Crew (Arcade Street Racing)
    • The Crew 2 (Arcade Street Racing)
    • WRC 5 (Sim Racing)
    • WRC 6 (Sim Racing)
    • WRC 7 (Sim Racing)
    • WRC 8 (Sim Racing)

Cons for XB1 & PS4:

  • The missing 1st party racing IPs:
    • Midtown Madness (Arcade Street Racing)
    • Motorstorm (Arcade Off-Road Racing)
    • Project Gotham Racing (Arcade Street Racing)
    • Rallisport Challenge (Sim Racing)
  • Missing 3rd party racing IPs:
    • Midnight Club (Arcade Street Racing)
    • Ridge Racer (Standard Arcade Racer)
    • Sega Rally (Arcade Off-Road Racing)
    • Test Drive (Arcade Street Racing)
  • Lesser racing IPs than their predecessor
  • Too many cheesy kart racers (Kart racing on XB1 & PS4 are inferior to Wii U)

Overall both are good consoles for racing games and better than Wii U IMO because of having more sim racing and street racing games (My 2 most favourite sub-genre of racing games).
