I don't know how many people actually played this, but I know none of my PC gaming friends did - Heretic II

good find. Heretic and Hexen, fantasy FPS

I remember playing Hexen. Such good times with that game back then.

Hexen II was quite fun too. It used the Quake engine if I'm right.

Yeah, not much of a development in non co-op multi: constant killing and blaming lag for your mistakes.

Looks great! LOG is still on my wishlist but I'm gonna play it in the very near future, some good ol' dungeon crawling!

I wouldn't call it boring though it has some long-drawn parts and repetitive slashing of monsters. It's more like an action game than an RPG for an old school RPG fan like me.

After getting a decent gear and mining lots of stuff, you may build a Nether Portal from obsidian and fight monsters there for even more stuff and XP. Explore the surface too, you may find villages and forts which are interesting. Or some strange and beautiful places serving as a perfect start for some more building. Use your imagination!

To be entirely honest, I hope it flops. This game is a very good example of what's wrong with mainstream games at the moment, and I wish that gamers would finally send a message to big publishers: "we're not that dumb"

Exactly. Some changes in the marketing strategies of developers would be very welcome.
