No replies? Well, I guess it's hopeless then. Oh well, thanks anyway.

Hmm you are doing this under manage bluetooth devices and then adding a new one right?
Yes, of course.
This headset isn't paired with your phone is it?
No, it isn't. It's been a VERY long time since I've paired the thing to my phone. I've switched off bluetooth a long time ago, so no, the device isn't paired to the phone.
Model # would be G2, right? I've even put it on top of my PS3.
So anyway, the pairing mode activates after you've pressed the button for 7 seconds. It constantly alternates between a red and blue light. It remains this way until the code has been entered. It then flashes a blue light every 8 seconds or so. I can't put it into the same mode as before without turning off the headset, but the manual says that it should register just perfectly fine after you've entered the code.
So I accidentally came across my old Bluetrek G2 headset. I read online that PS3 is compatable with nearly every bluetooth headset, so I tried to register the thing to my PS3. It finds the device while scanning (Pairing mode when pressing the button for 7 seconds. Red/Blue light) and I input the code and then it tries to register the thing. The problem is, it never does.
It stops at the ''Registering...Please wait.'' screen. I've tried four things.
At this screen, I tried:
- Not doing anything at all. I just wait it out, but I always get an error message eventually (Slow flickering. Blue light)
- Clicking the bluetooth headset once. Blue light flashes more often, but I eventually get an error message again.
- Holding the button in for a couple of seconds. No difference between this and previous action.
- Holding the button in for a longer time than the above. The headset turns off and I get error message within one or two seconds.
So I just presumed that it wasn't compatable and I'd just keep playing games like I usually do. Then I looked up on the internet and saw that others used the same headset for their PS3 and theirs actually work! So, what I wanted to ask was:
???????????????????????????????????????
Since it works with other people, it has to be compatible. Am I doing something wrong? I don't get it.
Any idea what I should do? I'm not planning on buying a headset any time soon (Not really a MP gamer right now), but I just thought I'd try to get this thing working anyway. Perhaps for future use.
