Yeah I did the whole sleep-through-it thing. I was going at a pace of about 25% per 1.5 hrs, so sometime during the early morning hours it must have zonked off.

That being said, more people on the server now.

The X-Wing diss is pretty significant though, that means the game's not that much of an improvement from a Rogue Squadron type shoot-em-up after all those years.

They didn't innovate enough w/ the dragons, it sounds like. They didn't make them fight with a lot of melee attacks or something. I don't know. The point is it's just another fighter sim.

Obviously Killzone 2 on the PS3 sounds like it's going to be a blast, along with MGS4. I don't really get Little Big Planet, to be honest, but I wouldn't mind seeing the game on 360 since it's a casuals type of game.

From PC, Spore and Crysis are obviously the two heavy hitters that everyone wants to see go multiplat...well, maybe not Spore, since I'm still not convinced that strategy type games work on consoles. But those are going to be huge.

And then Wii? I dunno, maybe Metroid Prime 3.

Why is it disappointing if Halo loses out to Bioshock, provided Halo is still a great game in its own right?

First screenshot is downgraded multiplayer, and I guess the rest could be from earlier builds of the game. The stuff showed at E3 definitely looks amazing graphically. You can tell there are some rough edges, and it's not as good-looking a game as Crysis or Killzone 2 (at least in some respects). I think lighting, art design, and sheer volume are its strengths (tons of people on-screen at once in a large environment w/ vehicles flying all over the place in some scenes).

Halo on the original Xbox was graphically stunning for the time when it was released. I thought it was the best game I'd ever seen to that point, much prettier than the Unreal engine games that were out around the same time.

Heh, well there is always that music store in the UK listing both the PS3 and 360 versions of the game, w/ the 360 coming out roughly 6 months later...

1. I took it off.

2. About 2 weeks.

3. I can't say for sure, since I never looked inside, but I doubt they would do that.

Will be interesting to see the GS review of Bioshock, which I'm guessing will be a 9.0 or 9.5 based on the advance reviews coming out.

I think it'll go 9.0 on the strength of single-player but I have a hard time believing a game can get a 10 or even a 9.5 without some engaging multiplayer component.
