i do not want to understand why some people are defending that, because the connection quality is often worse than what's free on the PC and the PS3.
the only logical conclusion i can think of, is that some people are being paid by Microsoft to say how great everything is because in reality it's a rip-off (i guess it's either an american thing, where crappy services are greated with chears? or i just expect better from a multi-billion dollar company)
serious rip off for people only playing online for 4 hours a month...
also why i buy cross-platform online games on my PS3, because the online support on the xbox360 is so incredibly shoddy (for 59euro's a year it's a rip-off for the 24hours a year i play online).
i pay 40euro's a month for a 60mbps internet line i aint going to pay any extra to play a few hours on a single console, it's the only thing i hate about the xbox360.
why people put up with this is beyond me, as it makes the entire xbox360 over 10 years three times more expensive as a PS3 (10x59euro=590euro's, u can buy 2 PS3's and 3xbox360's for that "xbox360's without an hdd is no xbox360")
i had serious shaddow issues on my old tv as well, i actually thought it was the game but it was the tv even though it was then the best tv on the market.
yesterdays best is todays crap when it comes to HDTV displays.
and it seems that since firmware upgrade 2.40 textures and anti-alliasing look much sharper for some reason, i have 2 PS3's one with the old 1 with the new firmware the older one looks slighty worse then the newer one (till date only checked GT5)
strange see almost no jaggies while driving on my native 1080P display. it might just be the quality of your display.
on anything not native, it will look jaggy but it actually isn't it's because of an anti-alliasing style used by GT5 which especially on Faroudja based tv's looks extremly crappy (i've had it on my old pre-1080P native display).
