Don't get me wrong I was gonna get one next week.

But then I thought is 500Gigs really enough?

Really, at this point in the consoles life 500Gbs seems alright as I imagine most people aren't going to be buying every available game and unless these games are somehow bigger than most AAA, graphically epic PC titles then it should be fine.

@barrybarryk: Be that as it may, I still find no reason why it should just throw all your progress out of the window once eight countries are lost, I mean either way it is a blow to XCOM when you lose a country and I'd rather lose gradually then just have the game forcefully throw me off - hell with 7 countries still in the program you could probably still easily finish the game, so why do this to the player? I mean I wouldn't mind if it was a choice to have it on but it isn't and it just sucks.

So let me just say right away that I know this is a difficult game, or can be when jacked up to the highest difficulty/ with iron man on and all that guff but the one thing that makes me really pissed about this game (and there are quite a few problems to be pissed about) is the damn, "Sorry you lose, you lost eight countries so obviously there is no way humanity could possibly win now, for some reason."

It seems that the only way to even attempt winning is by letting the story based objectives lead you by the nose rather than having any freedom to do things your own way, oh and don't try to upgrade anything prior to those oh so important story missions because you're taking to long and we can't have that now can we!

I've decided to rant about this ridiculously imposed 'game over' screen because I was actually doing the best I have done yet because I was avoiding the objectives the game had given me and tried to upgrade my soldiers and base prior so they would be ready but of course the game had other ideas and despite actually finding out the goal of the aliens in a normal abduction mission, the game still persisted in wanting me to capture an alien and interrogate it rather than just moving to the next step of the objectives/story. So I took my time, got a good team of soldiers, built around 5/6 satellites for most of Europe and Asia, even one for the United States and all was going somewhat alright, granted a few places had left the XCOM program but I would of been able to finish the game if it weren't for the completely ridiculous 'Defeat' screen, I was a few days off building my last satellite and that would of kept Brazil (the last to leave) in XCOM and me still playing.

I realise now that, that is stupid to say anyway because Australia didn't have a satellite and was at three points, so I'm sure the game would of, for no good reason, made them in to a threat level 5 and before I could help, give me the forced game over screen.

I can't be the only one who thinks this an arbitrary way to over stretch the player and throw all and any effort the person has put in away for little reason, all I'd like the chance to keep going, if I'm going to lose I'd like to actually go down fighting not just get a crappy, "You are defeated' screen - it ruins the whole experience.

It feels like a whole part of the game is removed by it, I would rather win sure but it would be so much more memorable to have a campaign where I went down fighting to the last soldier.

Apologies, rant over - but I would like to know others opinion on this.

@Vodoo: Although he wasn't tactful in the response desktops are generally recommend because of their lower cost for better performance and (mostly) easily upgradable/replaceable parts.

However, looking at the specs of your laptop I'd say your good to go for most modern games, on at least high settings.

Like I say should be good but remember when using the TV as a monitor, the higher the resolution the more power you'll need to run it, keep it in mind as it could be the difference between 20 and 60 frames.

So basically don't be worried if you've gotta go below 1920x1080 for the most part you shouldn't see a big difference especially if you've been console gaming this generation.

@cammby: No matter what generation or console or even when I'm on PC I always, always prefer physical copies if possible.

@drekula2: I'd like to imagine that is what most people will be doing when PS4 & Xbone come out.

On Wikipedia they list the PSVita & 3DS as a generation eight handheld which I guess makes sense.

Gotta give Logitech the vote here, granted I don't own any 3rd party accessories for my consoles currently, if I ever planned on buying one it'd be from them.

So as of coming back to the site and it being updated I've started receiving floods of e-mails to let me know a comment happens to of been made on a video I also comment on.

I've gone to settings and switched off all notifications, e-mail and otherwise and yet I still receive floods of mail when ever I post on a video.

Literally all the comments are not responses, so I really don't get why I'm receiving mail about it, is there something I'm derpily missing here or is something messed up?

@Nintendo_Man:

As it was brought up in a previous post, I am actually interested to know how frequently this happens to people of other ethnicity's and if this a problem of racism or shop clerks harshly judging people by outward appearance, I mean c'mon you'd think if this was only happening to black men and women it would of been something brought to public attention in some way a lot sooner than this and certainly would be far more of an issue.

I just like to be sure before calling the, "EVERYBODY IS A RACIST BECAUSE SOMEBODY DID SOMETHING AGAINST A BLACK PERSON" - argument is all.

Also something else to look into is if there have recently been a lot of credit card thefts where large single item purchase's have been made, in the store itself or at least if it is fairly common if it hasn't just been happening far more frequently lately, leading to shops asking employee's to try and be more vigilant when it comes to judging if a customer is legit.

I don't know, I'm not saying these are all definite things but would obviously correlate and explain a lot about why this is suddenly becoming such a common occurrence.
