@Nightdragonist Deus Ex and Shadowrun are two good examples for cyberpunk (although Shadowrun is more than that) in games. For movies you can see Blade Runner.
"Dead in the middle"...that phrase worries me. When you are trying to appease two types of masses (fans of DA:O and fans of DA:2) from my experience you fail to do so in both. There is no such thing as "quite an open-ish world" or "quite an isometric camera mode" . Character oriented story sounds interesting but the same has been promised for DA2 (unavoidable death of your mother...like..really?), so we have to wait for that and see. Combat at the pre-aplha demo looked terrible . Laidlaw says: "We want it to be memorable" ...i hope not in the bad way.
Anyway this is the last big bet for Bioware. After the failure of DA2 , SWOR and some mix responses from ME3 its either total win or total failure.
@soulfulDAGGER "fail" needs a comparison. To those that didn't follow the kickstarter it may be a fail because they have no idea what wasteland is all about. In either case a delay means feedback processing and game adaptation for better quality which is only a good thing....What? Only Blizzard with Titan is allowed to do this?
