This is a post to clarify I am still amongst the living. I'd also like to state that my activity level will probably be quite low for a while. I am rapidly losing interest in posting in forums. Not because I find you guys and gals less interesting, it's just because it takes too much time and effort to post everyday. I mean, I don't want to have to think about what to post on here when a lot of the time these days I have more important things to worry about. That makes me sounds like an @sshole who takes himself too seriously but I'm just trying to be honest. I don't even bother reading articles on Gamespot anymore because it's mostly the same shít all the time. I'll probably post every 2-3 weeks.... maybe more, maybe less. There's a good chance I won't look at this board for at least another few days. Sorry about that, on a less serious note, welcome back smarts. I'm actually surprised you came back at all :P And Raven, congrats on the house, it sounds awesome! I remember you saying that you wanted your own home for you and your husband. Hope you'll be happy there :)irishdude199210

I understand how you feel. Only difference is that I probably don't have as much to do as you so I will be here more frequent but the same as you kinda. Anyway you should check the Unions Suggestions topic because there is a topic I linked there that you could post to complain to GameSpot about unions and articles and crap like that. If not at least support my post. Anyway I don't think you're an @ss, so it's ok :)

I was a paid subscriber a few years back. Smarts did an awesome job on my sig :D And everyone still lives together, just a really safe neighborhood. I agree that this world would be a lot safer if people would stop being so paranoid of everything and look out for each other. Like how it was back when my parents were kids. People didn't have to lock their doors because you knew that your neighbors would look out for you.

Anyway Glad that the move is over, and everyone is healthy :) Good luck on your tests Smarts!! And I'm sure no one thinks you're an @ss for not being on as much Irish. As long as you give updates every so often to tell us that you're safe and well that is... :P

At least I was going to say that I was gone for a while because some Ahole of a girl curbstomped my bag at school, effectively smashing the laptops hardware and my harddisk completely, I have finaly gotten my new laptop (she had to cough up the money, she even tried blaming me for it in the beginning), but my harddisk is gone...

Even worse, I might not be able to write here mcuh before after friday, because on wedensday they pick what exams we must do... (No calculatus, please god, please:?) So sorry for disappearing:(

Well Im glad to know you are still among the living... :P.

In my case Im sorry i was out too.. I check the union every two to three days but I havent posted anything due to time constraints :(... I just enrolled in the CFA charterholder program and I have my Level 1 test planned for December :o. I have so much to read and so less time :? I really hope I can make it, cause this means a lot to me :). 

Practically Ive been working 10 hours a day, studying 3 to 4 per day (all day on weekends) :?. Ihaventeven got time to play anymore :(,

Anyway Im glad everybody is doing ok :). I know we all can make an effort to post at lest every 2 to 3 days, I will try my best to accomplish that too :).

On a side note, I will be traveling to US for the first time in my life :D!!! Im really happy because I will take time to visit my mom and siblings for a few days :). Plus If everythings foes according to what its planned, I  wil lbe participating in the Evolution Championship Series :D! (Not that I stand any chance against the contestants there but... :P)

Might be traveling to Virginia, Orlando, New York... would be so glad to meet any of you guys (those who live in USA of course :) )

I wish PS4 could be backward compatible.. I though Sony learned from all the PS3 compatibility issues... anyway, better for them if they release the collections over and over and even better if we buy them :P

Just came to say congrats on the 7th anniversary for the union. This is like my first post on GS in the last three years so yes, I don't think that someone remembers me or something but I thought it would be nice to say that I'm proud to see some of the old Unions I posted much in are still alive. Basicly, GameSpot defined some of my teenager years (when I was 15, 16 and 17 years old) and all those unions also so I have really fond memories of all of them because they were the main gathering point of most of the comunity on GS which was probably the best I have ever met and I sometimes look nostalgic on those times because they were damn good and the community really was one of the stronger parts of GameSpot :)

Keep the good work guys/girls, I'm sure that no mather how many people post in this union you still have a great time. Best regards from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Hey man. How are you? I am surprised no one griped at me for saying how much I hate Final Fantasy XIII in the other threadvalereth85

I remember you, welcome back :D And I didn't like the story very much either so that's why I haven't complained :P 

Now my turn :P

I finished all my tests :D Seemed pretty easy, except for Math which I think I did pretty bad, but I got the others down so I think I managed to get enough points to pass the IB program. I now also took my college math placement test and I got my first real job (excluding the one where I managed and created a website and got paid) at Winn-Dixie (a grocery store) as a cashier. I start work next week, so excited :D Seems like everything is slowly falling into place. I need money though, the job is paying me $7.89 an hour.

My friend's also been having issues with his girlfriend so me and my girlfriend been helping him out. Apparently we just found out she been dating my friend and another dude at the same time. My friend dating her online and she dating this other dude in real life, and they had sex. It's a wholre cheating mess, ugh, a bit annoying but I am helping him though it to figure it out.

Other than that not much else going on. Hope you all are doing ok :)

In my opinion, I feel like GameSpot is simply neglecting unions. The only place where it's ever really active is the general forums is in the general forums (literally). There used to be times when people would come on and post every day to try and help the union out in level, get new members, get recognition, etc. However, since GameSpot has stopped all that, not only have other unions been drowning, but this union as well. This union focuses on unions, and to be quite frank with you, about 90% of the unions on GameSpot are dead. 

There is no incentive anymore to go post in unions, when you can just go to the OT forums or the general games forums and talk there and get a quick reply to talk with people. Unions used to be here for specific topics where you could make friends and be in competition, or affiliation with other unions. What is the point of that anymore? There is no point anymore. Why? Because there are no incentives, there are no pros of having a union anymore, when you could do the exact same thing in the OT, or other forums. 

As for those of you saying that unions are good to focus on one topic and release news, and features games, etc, yeah, for how long though? Sure, you'll get a few members active in the first week, but then after a while it will go dead because members will start to fade because they see no incentives anymore, they don't see the value of putting effort into something that GameSpot is not even going to support and simply bury away as stated before.

Before unions could gain levels, could gain emblems, could actually have a purpose for being made. The purpose was to create a family in a sense that was related in similar likes and preferences. But how can that happen now if everyone is losing hope. It's nice that some of us are optimistic, but that doesn't mean everyone is, some people are just discouraged because they see GameSpot doing nothing with unions. Hence, no activity in unions and a lack of support for them. If GameSpot would at least put some effort into fixing unions, perhaps featuring them, giving them more abilities, implementing incentives, allowing for more oppertunities and ways to compete or affiliate with a formal sysem, or have some type of system where people could actually enjoy being in a union that would actually be worth something, then people would gain confidence and perhaps also be more active when they see what benefits unions are getting. Right now though, I see no benefits. All I see is attempts and failures. 

That's totally the way neighborhoods should be.  People need to be less afraid of one another.
