I've been folding 24/7 to stay at 30K 24h average. There's some PC games on the horizon that is going to significantly cut into that average.

Shakes, you've folded consistently for years. You, Calkulon, and a few others kept the team going. Since the first day I started folding you were there. Today, I take the #1 rank from you.

You inspired me to keep going. Seeing you at the top of the list, leading the team, you silently encouraged me to keep on folding. I have no idea who you are, we've never met, we've never talked, but you've earned an honored place on this team.

I havent had any ploblems folding since i started getting the betas. The only problem ive had is once time i paused both the gpu and smp at nearly the same time and it seemed to lock up my PC. Never had it do that before or since though and it wasnt with a beta either.Kurushio

Yeah, I haven't actually had a beta fail either.

However, I have had two REGULAR WUs fail on me. One of them took me 1.25 days to fold! Looking back on it, I should have probably reported those. Let's keep each other posted on bad WUs and figure out how to properly report them.

On the folding@home blog the last 5 posts are about GPUs. Looks like there is a lot of work going on with GPUs.

So it looks like before they release WUs to th general public they release it to those of us that have opted to receive beta WUs first. Once the beta units are released then there are no beta units (and beta bonus points) to be had. Right now there doesn't seem to be any beta WUs in circulation.

Looks like they announce betas here.

So once they release the next round of betas we can take advantage of them for the entire run. I'm pretty sure we signed on to betas in the middle/end of the beta run.

One thing I'd like to add: If we are going to run beta units, then we should probably fully take part in the beta process. If we experience any issues while folding beta WUs, then I'd like to encourage us to report it properly to Pande Group. I suppose until we actually start folding beta units there's no reason to belabor the point. When beta units are available let's research the proper beta reporting process.
