@captainwonton: mate, if you download and install the latest custom option files - e.g. search for Pesuniverse - you will get the whole Bundesliga as well, just pay attention to do not use live updates when you pick up one of the German clubs.

About no Option File for Xbox is because EA asked to the "consumer friendly" MS to block this feature. It's not-known if there is a proper contract in place or just a "gentlemen agreement". There is no security or platform issue as MS is more than happy to open the system to game mods - they said that about Fallout.

@freeryu: I believe Scalebound got cancelled as MS got lost in translation with P.G. as MS wanted a Monster Hunter World when P.G. thought they could make a sort of Nier with dragons. MS wanted at least a multiplayer feature but P.G. didn't see it suitable for that IP.

I'd also state they didn't have the experience and knowledge for that. This because P.G. has never done any real multiplayer game, in Automata they made the online feature as users note a la Bloodborne and other players corpses. No PVP or PVE.

@Fleeboi: FYI The Arkham series took the spider sense from Spider-man 2 and the overall gameplay and style of 'The Warriors' to make what you see as Rocksteady's Batman.

please double check those games and see if I am wrong.

In addition, you have to admit this new Spider-man game has something unique that improves the Arkham series: you have at least for 2/3 of the game a normal city not a waste land with only foes to beat up.

The combat is not identical at all, as you dodge in a total different way, you do not block or parry any hit. You can't just hit a distant foes by pressing the same button in time you need at least to hit the triangle.

Now if you want to think SM is copycat of Batman, you will be free to do it, as it's a free world but it's like to see Mafia or Yakuza as GTA copycats, when they aren't

@TAracer: there is anything you can do about cars unless someone design a remote always online kill switch for cars. BTW I believe you are not able to buy a bomb at Wallmart. If you mean granades, I believe you have to pay at least $200 of tax stamp. What about the same cost for every kind of gun?

May I ask you: if your argument is valid all the times, why according to someone if an immigrant commits a crime we should stop immigration for good? Are immigrants - human beings - 'lesser' than objects - guns -?

@sticktalker336: FYI 500,000,000 million is the number of PlayStation units sold - all the PS models produced till the PS4 Pro.

I hope this helps and you do read only titles to post comments.

@berrlett:

I believe the reason MS is struggling and probably will never lead console sales again is in the answer to your comment. Xbox community sends messages to MS that everything is OK, they are happy to be a part of strong community; they all say exclusives don't sell enough and do boost console sales either.

I really wish those are just MS community moderators but it's not true: they are all real and they all think xbox is doing ok and even better than PlayStation. If the sales do not reflect that is because of global conspiracy against MS.

I might be the only one in the world but what made me to like Kratos of the very first GOW was the fact I saw he was the kind of Hulk alike character I really wanted to be.

I mean if he doesn't tear apart enemies with his own bare hands, he won't be him anymore. That coupled with massive combos gave that sense of sheer power boosted after a peek of rage. If this is ultra-violence then I am not agreed to dial it back.

May I ask you guys to follow up with a comment what you think of replacing "discs" with kind of amiibos in the next gen?

In other words, the physical copy licence has to be locked to the amiibo, you need to have the amiibo next to the console or game pad.
In this way you keep the second hand market but at the same time you can offer special / collector editions with a real meaning as the action figure / model will be an amiibo. In my opinion this can also increase the retainment of the sp games.

Maybe it's nothing good but in my opinion before planning a digital only age they need to set up a transition age like the one I thought. At the moment they see this as a transition age, but unfortunately the only tool they are using to thrive the digital way is to offer deals. Deals that can't match the deals of online and high street retailers as for example, GTA V which is an old game is still full price without any deal on digital stores when the disc is constantly around £25

@master32820: I think it's typo... at least I hope so.
Anyhow, to boost an old version of an "every year a new edition" franchise the very same week the new version gets the shelves would send a clear signal to developer: give roosters updates for free or put some real new features/improvements to justify the price tag.

@oneligas: are you sure gamers will totally benefit of cross-play? I mean in a long term perspective.

Frankly, I don't think this is such good thing for the industry. Not because it's a bad thing per se, but it could lead corporations to dwell on that too much. Read that as "Microsoft might stop producing exclusives, forever"

At the end of this generation at MS board will say "We sold 4 times the same console to the same group of people. And we actually sold at least one of them by upgrading a blu-ray player when this same group of consumers said (during the x360 generation) that blu-rays were useless. This generation we aim to sell 8/10 times the same console to the same persons. We can sell them a flat piece of plastic with an X on and they will buy happily!"

By all that I do not mean PS has billion of exclusives, they are pretty numbered but IMHO as these gen consoles aren't made out of unique pieces of tech (they are PC based).

The more consoles are similar, the less likely you will have new exclusives and therefore ideas, gameplay and so on.

My two cents
