I am just loving watching the total number of votes go up, it's kinda hypnotic, like the old loading screens for Commadore C64 tape games... The current total is 113,154... Thats 11.3% of the way!

Oh I know he will somehow squirm out of it, but surely even his ego should take a massive hit from something like that.

Okay this might be better off in the Off-Topic section but I am sure it will get shifted if need be.

I am sure by now most people have heard about the Director we all love to hate (or hate to love for a minority) claiming that he will quit the film making industry if a certain petition reaches 1,000,000 signatures. The petition in question was up to 108k when i looked earlier on and that to me is a good sign.

Now we all know that game-to-film and vice-versa usually doesn't work too well, but i have to ask myself is that stigma due to the effort of Uncle Uwe? And to be honest i think for a large part that it is. Look at his past atrocities inflicted upon the cinema goer in general. 'Alone in the Dark' had the potential to be extremely scary and possibly even thought provoking, but it failed it's potential - this was actually the closest I have got to enjoying a Boll film. Then his work just goes straight down the proverbial S-Bend with 'House of the Dead' and 'Bloodrayne' both of which were abysmal in ways that humankind should never be subjected to.

Now the films he has coming along make me shudder; 'Far Cry' for all intents and purposes looks like a student film made whilst on holiday in Thailand. 'Postal' could actually go straight through the bad-barrier and actually end up amusing (for all the wrong reasons) and then there is the sequel to Bloodrayne; with a plot that i am still thinking must be a sick joke, I mean a vampire Billy the Kid... When did anything that stupid sounding ever feature in a Bloodrayne game.

I know that we have had literally hundreds if not thousand of threads like the one I am about to post, but the point of this post is to draw attention to the petition and hopefully encourage people to sign it, if for no other reason that the curiosity to see if he will actually remove himself from and industry that should have rejected him years ago
