@amdreallyfast I believe Microsoft understands that it's okay to take a loss on hardware in order to make a profit on software. Since you can't sell someone the software if they won't buy the hardware to begin with.

It actually makes a lot of sense. And in the meantime you're pricing your hardware under the competitions and thus blocking them from hardware sales and as a result software sales.

@JtAgentX The original Gears was filler because Microsoft wanted a shooter for the launch of the 360 and Halo wasn't ready yet. So when you look at it that way the franchise has done quite well for itself. This new one though... I can't even bring myself to play through it. The core gameplay mechanics are fine but everything else is just a step backwards from the previous games. I can't engage with the story at all thanks to each section of the level being separated by annoying scoreboards. Also I miss when the game used to be entirely in in-game engine and not pre-rendered cutscenes.

@Keivz_basic @Fryboy101 I played the game. It's a massive step backwards for the series. The characters are oddly silent and devoid of personality. There's no tension. You know all four members of Kilo make it through. They're alive at the court martial. You know there will be no tear-filled moments like a certain scene in Gears of War 3.

@Assertonsin @wrestlingdude I played it. I found it straight up good. Not great. But deserves way better than what reviewers are giving it. I guess EA didn't give them their payoff money so they're trashing the game in retaliation.

@HomieHesAKlown Actually it's not like it's predecessors. They took out a ton of the stupidity and tried to go in a more serious direction (aside from Overkill mode which should just be renamed Michael Bay Mode). Personally I enjoyed it much more than the last two.

@DaCriLL I am male. I was excited for the new Tomb Raider. It didn't matter to me that I was going to be playing a woman. I'm excited for Beyond: Two Souls. I don't care that I'll be playing Ellen Page. But then I care about the story.

I think a lot of people missed the point of Dragon Age 2's story or I missed that there is no point. But I felt it was supposed to show Hawke's life and the hardships they endure and their triumphs. I felt triumphant when I felled a High Dragon. I felt triumphant when I killed certain bosses. I felt vengeful against certain characters. Most importantly the game made me FEEL. I formed my own opinions based on what I experienced and created my own antagonists based on my beliefs and morals. Not everything in the game is black and white this time around and there is no obviously evil archdemon to slay but only the villains we percieve as such. (Aside from a certain Mage who was totally evil for what he did but I'm sure in his crazy mind I was the bad guy.) I actually found the story more compelling than the original game and it drew me in a lot better. If only because Hawke speaks and doesn't have the same dumbfounded expression on his face in every conversation.
