There's an important point here that's being missed. I think Frank Miller is well attuned to the realities of the consumer. In a time when movies of absurd heroism prevail, the real heroism of a massively outnumbered professional army fighing a hopeless battle for the sake of duty and honor would be lost on the elitist channel flippers of today. Any of you who has faced real enemies with real intent to kill would understand the valor, and the homage to that valor that Miller portrays.
