TORONTO -- An 18-year-old Hamilton, Ont. woman allegedly created a fake doctor’s note stating that she had tested positive for COVID-19 in order to get out of her shift at a local McDonald’s.

On Monday, police officers were notified by Hamilton Public Health Services that the individual had created a “fake physician’s note with fraudulent medical information” about testing positive for the novel coronavirus.

The fake note was reportedly given to a supervisor at the McDonald’s location, located on Rymal Road, four days prior.

Const. Lorraine Edwards said “that one action had a wide community impact.”

Looks like she won't have to worry about her shift for the foreseeable future.

A man reportedly died after ingesting a substance used to clean fish tanks that contains a form of chloroquine, a drug that President Donald Trump has claimed repeatedly could be a "game changer" in the fight against the novel coronavirus.

The man's wife also is in critical condition, the health care system Banner Health said in a statement, adding, "Within thirty minutes of ingestion, the couple experienced immediate effects requiring admittance to a nearby Banner Health hospital."

He now has 100% chance of not catching corona, though.

And if you want to talk floating point operations you’d be looking at Fat Man being a 33.5 TFLOPS GPU (FP32 units x 2 x 1.11GHz) and Little Boy being a 27.9 TFLOPS chip, at those low-rent clock speeds anyways. At release frequencies they could be much higher.

XBSX and PS5 already obsolete?

NEW YORK (AP) — About 4 in 10 American adults are obese, and nearly 1 in 10 is severely so, government researchers said Thursday.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention findings come from a 2017-18 health survey that measures height and weight. More than 5,000 U.S. adults took part.

The survey found that the obesity rate was 42% — higher than the 40% found in a similar 2015-16 study. The severe obesity rate was more than 9% in the new survey, up from the 8% figure in the previous one.

Thanks to Joaquin Phoenix’s dance moves in Joker, the stairs connecting Shakespeare and Anderson Avenues in the Highbridge neighborhood of the Bronx are the most famous set of steps in New York City right now. They have their own Instagram hashtag with over 700 tagged photos, and were also added to Google Maps as a “religious site” (the designation has since been removed).

All the attention has frustrated some residents of Highbridge.

“We hope it ends soon because we don’t need this,” said Jonathan Francis, a 29-year-old who has lived in the neighborhood his entire life. “We feel disrespected.”

Instagram ruins yet another site.
