@DeviantCode: I'll argue against this. Doom was fantastic (though the online was subpar based on what people wanted).

@tnielsen2010: You'll likely need to be in line before noon thursday at toys r us or gamestop.

Even people with a pre-order at places like wal-mart are potentially getting shafted due to low ship quantities.

@videogameninja: That is exactly what happened.

Jim, being a game reviewer online, reaches multitudes of people, His channel has about half a million subs, so it's not like he's the biggest platform for reviewing games (Angry Joe is a bigger channel, and arguably harsher) but he gives his honest opinion.

So if a game is barely playable he'll say it. If it's not true (e.g. the game is largely functional but just boring) then it's slander and the company could rightfully sue him. However, he doesn't lie, he gives good reviews and thinskin mcgee from Digital Homicide took offense and decided to sue because he didn't agree with the assessments.

Same thing for the steam reviews.

@oflow: He never said it was a bad thing, just that they aren't exclusive, why does that garner a negative response from you?

@consolehaven: I think what he meant is that the games are all on both Xbox1 and pc, thus they're not exclusives. Exclusive means it's only available in 1 location.

It's not a negative thing. I personally play on both PC and PS4 but I only got my PC up and running this month, so before that I was purely console gamer. I just really didn't want an Xbox1 because, even though it's better for FPS, I don't play as many of those as I do action adventure titles, which PS4 has more of.

So for me, having the PC instead of the xbox console allows me to play the strategy games and adventure games that are only available to MS users. (Sea of Thieves looks dope and I'm excited for it).

@girlusocrazy: Check out the gamesRadar video review. They actually made me switch from not even thinking about this game, to considering it.

@Mogan: I believe I was misunderstood. My comment was agreeing with you and saying that people see dlc and assume something is being taken from them. The reason for this, is that EA and Ubisoft have been the kings of leaving stuff out so that you have to purchase DLC to get the full game.

I think that based on their description of the items in each dlc pack, this is one of the times that nothing will be lost by not having it, and if you do get it, it'll just add to your experience.

@Mogan: Yes, and rightfully so. That's how a lot of DLC is nowadays.

@DanZillaUK: Yes, but, typically in Zelda games, when there is a new "Difficulty Setting" they do more than just give the enemies more health and make them do more damage. A lot of times they actually go in and move things, completely rework things, and give you new items. There is legitimate extra work that goes into it in terms of programming and that's what you're paying for.

And as Mogan pointed out, if they never said anything about it, a lot of people never would have cared because they wouldn't have known.

Again, it's stuff that doesn't change the actual story they're trying to tell, so you won't have a lesser experience if you don't get it.
