Lack of authority and anonymity will always lead to stupid and rude behavior because there is no punishment and no accountability. I've always ignored other players talking crap in games in general regardless of genre or platform and I'm usually the one that performs to be talking smack. The hardest part about being a gamer is getting in with the right crowd for learning to be better, and playing together, otherwise you're in a crap shoot of random pick up games with all kinds of d-bags and skill levels and those situations in any game/genre will always lead to the worst behavior.

Are you kidding me? I've played so many violent videogames, especially my share of FPS games, and I've been shooting several times using multiple different firearms from rifles, to shotguns and pistols and there is noooooooooooooo correlation to how quickly and wildly accurate i can flick shot an AWP in CSS to how accurate I am with any of the semi-auto counterparts i've used in real life. I bet 99% of the people that play violent videogames can't even handle the recoil of a shotgun or desert eagle. Let alone even know how to load one or aim one properly.
Considering gaming as been one of my favorite hobbies since I was a kid. If videogame violence had any effect on producing realistic violent tendencies, then I probably would have systematically slaughtered trillions of people by now. But I haven't...yet... : P On a side note, an 8 year old was playing GTA AND somehow gained access to a firearm? Great parenting!
Wow when i see the results that were given to me from my 8800GT (which were extremely satisfactory, being able to max out every graphic thing in games...although I have a CRT monitor that allows up to 1280x1024). My mind is in awe thinking about how powerful these cards are and how good games look on huge LCD monitors.
