Tali is like a really good friend and I squealed like a kid when I got her and Garrus back in ME2. Romancing her was a bit awkward but ah what the hell. :P

I actually didn't like Liara in ME1. I felt she was a bit too immature(?),hesitant and a little bit meek at times. But she seems to have really come on her own in ME2 and from Redemption her character development has taken a positive turn for sure IMO. I can't wait to play Lair of the Shadow Broker and see more of her. Maybe...I need to play ME1 once again and save a romance for her. Oh wait...I already did that. :P

Interesting observation, you could be correct. And Retribution took place roughly a year after ME2 (source), and it does reference Cerberus salvaging technology from the Collector's "operations," so it could be in their canon. However, since events in ME3 will be based on your decisions, operations may be explained as data EDI gathered while linked to the Collector's vessel or stuff from Collector bodies on Horizon, or the base itself (if you kept it). Geeze, every time I think about how all our decisions will come to an apex in ME3 it almost makes my head spin.

I was just referencing to the default/canonized decisions which will be made if a player starts a "new game" in ME3. Also the possibility is immense. But it also weighs a MASSIVE amount of expectations. I think ME3 has to be nothing short of phenomenal and even then it will end up disappointing many even if we know it probably won't be the end of the series.

Retribution is pretty good so far. A lot better than Ascension which I felt didn't really do too much to build up to the game-related universe (or atleast what had previously been made known to us).

The topic is a potential "Welcome. Please troll here" all over it.

Never understood any sort of "which is better" whether it is for genres or for consoles. JRPG and WRPG have both got a share of amazing games and their share of awful games. PS3,360 and Wii have got their share of great games which I would want to play one day. Never understood the fanboyism anyway. We're gamers. We're loyal to games. Not to companies or developers. :P

While we're here I'll post some of my faves (five each) from east and west

East -- FFVIII,FFVI,Vagrant Story,Fire Emblem and Persona 3.

West -- Baldur's Gate II, Planescape Torment, Deus Ex and Diablo II

I just began reading Retribution even though I've had it for a while and couldn't help but noticing a weird, possibly irrelevant but nonetheless a noticeable observation. The first chapter depicts Illusive Man on his secret space station orbiting a star at the END OF IT'S LIFE CYCLE. Now I couldn't help but recalling the ending of ME2 and how depending upon whether you chose to hand over the Human Reaper to Illusive Man or not changed the colour of the star. It seemed very trivial to me at first probably depicting a blue (paragon) and red (renegade) stance of the decision. However, the red star signifies a star nearing the end of it's life cycle when it's used up all it's helium core gases and it's temperature has relatively decreased since it's birth.

It could be a sign that the "canonized" version of ME3 is going to include the decision that Shepard ended up giving Human Reaper to the Illusive Man. It's just a thought but regardless I couldn't help but post it. :P

Nice! I don't know who that is, but she looks like she could do a great job! And as far as Shepard goes, I think Matthew Fox was just a rumor, but it'd be really nice for him to get the part. The guy Shepard is modeled after is just that... a model, not an actor.

I think some of the voice actors would be a great pick for their characters; some like Joker and Anderson.

For Jacob... Kanye West? lol

 I can imagine him saying "THE PRIZE" with his eyebrows raised! Haha! That would be hilarious! :P

So like everybody is aware that movies unfortunately don't have the power that videogames do of customizing your character's face. So I guess we'll have to go with John Shepard who is modeled after Mark Vanderloo.'

Sorry about the second post, it won't let me edit the first for some reason...

Whilst I'm not really a fan, Megan Fox could make a convincing Jack.

Or, I think we'd all prefer Natalie Portman. Or Robin Tunney. Or even a completely bald Selma Blair?

caityful

I agree with Natalie Portman there. Her V for Vendetta look completely reminded me of Jack. :P

Hi! My name is Priscilla and I am living in England. Uhm, I'm a French Australian though. I moved to England this year and I quite like it. I'm nineteen years old. I don't really know what else to say? My favourite type of games are RPGs. Final Fantasy VIII being my favourite game I've ever played. So.. Yeah :).Cillla

Yay,FFVIII. My all-time favourite JRPG. Welcome to the union,Priscilla. :l)

Sorry if this union is a bit inactive at the moment. Everyone seems to have gotten busy with their lives or elsewhere at the moment. :P

Hello This is KingofGamersX

and I'm a big fan of square games but lately square is creating Kane & lynch 2 and its odd but hey FFXIV is coming and I'm looking forward to it.

KingofgamersX

A FYI, Square Enix is also a publisher. Games like NIER (Cavia),Infinite Undiscovery,Star Ocean 4 (both Tri-Ace),Lara Croft (Crystal Dynamics), Kane and Lynch 2 (IO Software) and Deus Ex 3 (Eidos Montreal) are developed by different developers. SE only publishes them. They have little to no role in development of any of those games. The most recent games they've developed on the home consoles are FFXIII and Last Remnant.

[QUOTE="The_Judgemaster"]Final Fantasy XII for being unique. I know many despise it, but I love it.Mr__Fantasy

thank you! many people just dnt see how great ff12 really is!

but my all time favourite would have to bee War of the Lions

Seeing how you like both the Ivalice-based games FFXII and FF Tactics (remade on PSP as War of the Lions), you should also try out Vagrant Story which is possibly amongst my favourite games from Square and is based in Ivalice too. It should be a little rare now but hopefully SE plans to bring it on PSN someday.
