[QUOTE="cakeorrdeath"][QUOTE="Jandurin"]Dude, that movie of SSBM made me realize just how much I hate wall-huggers, or whatever that's called.Jandurin

Edge hoggers.

Yeah they are very cheap.

Btw, and maybe this is the wrong place, but I'm too lazy to PM. Did you really like the delayed smashes in SSBM? I kinda liked the N64 instant smashing with the toward-button press... though the delay did add a level of complexity and timing in that the longer you held the better the hit.. Think they'll have delayed smashes in the new game?

I liked them most of the time i use C-stick though but it really did make it interesting because it really helped some characters that needed to have heavier hitting moves (but man did they make ness's moves suck). so yea i think they will have them. im just wondering if they will leave the wavedash in

[QUOTE="edeasknight"][QUOTE="Socrates88"][QUOTE="edeasknight"][QUOTE="Socrates88"]lol at SSBM. How can button mashing be hard?Socrates88

this, friends, is a prime example of a man who doesnt know what hes talking about

Well, I'm wrong. The first time I picked up SSBM I was winning by button mashing. I don't know really. It could've been my friends sux or the game was too easy to play. Or a mixture of both.

or maybe its simply because you and your friends arent any good at SSBM. you can pick up any fighting game and play against other similarly unskilled players and win by button mashing.

I'm not claiming to be a SSBM pro, but I am a fighter pro. and I can tell the difference in a deep learning curve and something superficial. I would like to see you win button mashing in VF, Tekken, Street Fighter 3: TS. If you can, You are a god.

I really can see how you would think its not that deep because its not the same kind of depth that a traditional fighter has. Its alot more about timing and finess.

Have you actually everseen someone really skilled play SSBM?

*goes to find a video*

this one looks cool

SSBM requires more finess and timing than any other fighting game ive ever played. not just mashing in huge combos (which is still fu as hell but it takes alot more time and efort to get really good at smash bros than something like SC2)

but i think fox's shinewave shorthop down A infinite cornering combo is the single hardest combo to pull off consistantly

I sold one of my N64's on Ebay right before the Wii came out. I got something like$20 for mario 64 and 25 for mario kart. twice what they cost on the VC and you only have to own one system

I hear this thing... something about a PS3 price cut in one year... man that soulds like very wishful thinking. could someone, ANYONE, PLEASE I'M BEGGING YOU, tell me why they think there will be a price cut on the PS3 any time soon. A single PS3 cost $840 to make. thats a loss of $240 on every single system they sell, and they cant even afford to do that every where they sell them. Every where out side of the US and Japan they have price it significantly more (between $600 and $850 US) just to cut thier already massive losses. so explain to me how there is any chance of a price cut. even if they manage to cut the production cost by even $100??
