You need one of these badboys.
Lately I find myself abandoning most of the compulsive behaviors, such as uncovering every square inch of map in an ARPG. Now I find myself running through games without hesitating at major decisions or consulting FAQs. If there is a significantly difficult play-style available, such as hand gun specialization, stealth, etc. I go for that.
But mostly I just try to play recklessly, acting as a person would without the ability to quick-save and reload. It's just more fun that way for me now.
I don't know why people do this.
The brothel section (House of Pleasure) was very cool. Lots of verticality, even indoors.
The type of games that Bioware and Bethesda make are more of a mutation of the old tabletop-based PC RPGs. They're just different animals, and they sell exceedingly well because many people like to buy and play them.
I also think The Witcher 1 & 2 wouldn't have taken the form they have now without Bioware and Betheda's inarguable influence over game development at large.
Definitely Crusader Kings 2 when it comes to pure visual glut. The Resident Evil games on Mercenaries mode can evoke a different sense of the word.
Prey 2
Bloodborne will help to generate some hype/revenue/momentum.
All the article really says, content-wise, is that Nintendo only starts a new IP when they have a new type of gameplay to go with it. They don't make new games that play like Zelda without Link, they just use Link.
