[QUOTE="BloodMist"][QUOTE="Wslacker"]This thread, and its responses kind of remind from a song in (*shows age*) The Sound of Music. "I am 16 going on 17..." I'm 33.Wslacker

I can only thank god that i have never watched that movie.

IMO, it is one of the best musicals ever made. Sure it was made in the 70's, and Julie Andrews (long retired or dead), but they just don't make good musicals (especially about WW2) anymore. And, trust me, Sin City was good, but not even close.

Julie andrews is neither dead nor retired. I believe she was in some Disney movie recently... can't remember, though. Just check IMDb

I'm 15 and I really consider myself a manticore; or a PConsole gamer, if you will. I really only play consoles because my friends are like Halo fanboys . Nobody in my freakin' town has a decent PC, they all run Windows 98.

HL2 has REAL TEXTURES! That's a new one for the Doom 3 fanboy's memo book. Oh, the HL2 graphics are actually better, even though iD flaunts around with their fancy-pants graphics, the HL2 graphics are better detailed and are a lot more cinematic. Honestly, iD fanboys around the world probably crapped themselves when the Source engine turned up on their doorstep ;).swlover_13579

What are you talking about? IMO HL2 has atrocious textures. Even on the highest setting w/ a direct x 9 card the textures are still blocky a gross (plus they cause stuttering on some systems.) Other than that HL2 looks more subtle, whereas Doom 3 has very over-the-top lighting effects and such. It really all depends upon taste. But honestly, I think far Cry looks the best (excluding the plasticy-looking water.)
