I did not play heavy rain, but I am about 3-4 hrs in beyond, and so far I really enjoy it. There is a scene early in the game that looks freakin fantastic. That scene in particular, has the best graphics I've seen in any ps3 game.

half life 2 was different when it released. Valve showed an e3 demo with a city full of booby traps and all that stuff, and when the game came out, the town was nothing like the demo. You also missed a smg with a scope that couldn't be used. You also missed a bunch of crappy vehicle gameplay. The only good thing about half life 2 was the gravity gun.
yes, every game with multiplayer gets dedicated servers. Â i really hope sony addresses this if they say their trying for the best online service with ps+

heres the deal, developers who dont have their own dedicated servers will be able to use Microsoft's servers for free. Â MS is providing every developer who wants them to use them free of charge, sony on the other hand does not provide developers with dedicated servers and most developers cant afford to keep their own dedicated servers running and maintained so they will not have any, instead we are to use player to player (p2p) connections which is player hosted. Â i found that if im playing online with people who have shitty internet connections and they are hosting the match then even if I have the best internet connection in the world I will still suffer because of THEIR shtty connection. Â whether it be on cod or madden or fifa, dedicated servers ensures that everyone will have a smoothe connection and your target wont "lag" across the screen making you miss them.
that's pretty nice that MS is providing free servers, but to say that dedicated servers have no lag is completely false. I used to play most of my fps games on the pc (with dedicated servers) and people with bad connections still lagged. I don't play madden much, but I've played nba2k on my 360, and it stuttered too. I haven't preordered the xb1 or ps4 yet. still having a tough time deciding. Naughtydog is the reason why i'm a little more excited for the ps4, but titanfall on the other hand looks fun as hell.
I kinda am, the other guy is gettng dedicated servers on all of its games and it looks like ps4 will not, hopefully gaikai will help out if it even can but online gaming is a whole lot better with ded servers. Â Cod is kinda choppy at times on my ps3 and I KNOW its because some people have crappy internet and they just happen to be hosting the match. Â My bars are always full and I would like to not be penalized for it because someone elses is shitty.

yes for sure there are times when you have to run or get taken out. Try to find a mage/sorcerer with fire. A lot of the enemies are weak against fire. You will see some saurions early in the game as well, but I think they are weak against ice. edit: I know which bandits you are talking about. they beat me up quite a bit in the early levels. Another piece of advice: if you are using a sword type class, try to get edens warden in the "ancient quarry". it is permanently enchanted with fire and will help a lot. I think the treasure chest in the quarry might also give enchanted daggars. anyways, after clearing out the quarry, I would always go back to the chest every few days to get a random weapon. if it is not the weapon you need, you can sell it for some easy cash.
