Try more like 900 dollars. You still need the keyboard, mouse, Skyrim itself, the monitor, the speakers, the better PSU (450 Watts is not a good idea to go with).

[QUOTE="ferret-gamer"][QUOTE="AppleJudgement"] Ok you got me with that last part. I was told my Mac's were better hardware to render graphics which is why I brought it.

AppleJudgement

Macs use the same hardware PCs do, the only change is the OS.

Then explain the high price? What am I paying for?

The reason for the high price IMO is because of the software comes with your Mac.
Most, if not all, Mac computers come with pre-installed software; Photoshop, after effects, some stupid picture booth, some horrible music maker thing, etc...

The parts, such as the case, screen, MOBO, HDD, CPU, are all overpriced as well.

The reason they overprice their products is because consumers believe the parts are better, because of the sleeker design of the case, keyboard+mouse, and monitor... (imo).

I think a regular gaming controller is the best, particularly the Xbox 360 controller. I gave the Wii remote & nunchuk a chance & was infinitely disappointed. I also really hate the DS's touch screen. I also hate playing games with a mouse & keyboard. I honestly don't think that any kind of new technology will ever top a standard gaming controller.

Sounds super casual to me. KB+M will always be more precise than controller.

You got a 250w PSU in that thing...you need at least a 550w for a GTX 570MonsieurX
Oh yeah, i deff plan on getting a 700W PSU. No doubt about that. I just want to know if I will have problems fitting tings in my tower. It's a medium sized tower and im afraid nothing will fit.

I put this together on New Egg, it will play the games your after completely maxxed out without a issue and seeing as the new counter strike game is using the same engine im going to say your not going to have a issue with that what so ever.

I'm pretty sure this topic gets talked about A LOT on here, but I really need help building a desktop computer. I have only 500 dollars though, and I want it to at least play TF2 or Counter Strike Source on high settings. Can someone help me out? I think Dell.com might have a budget Desktop, but i also feel like they might be overpriced and building one myself would be cheaper. I just don't know a whole lot about cpu's. gpus, and motherboards. I already own a monitor so that might help lower my budget a tad.

Any help would be awesome. Thanks bra.
