@d9000: She would be a great candidate if WWE Creative didn't feed her to Alexa Bliss in that Kendo stick match. She needs to work up to that level again.

@jinzo9988: It was fine for me, only because he's had an established career outside of WWE. But yes there are massive swaths of the audience, who only watch the weekly shows, who would have no clue who he was, because they never watch NXT.

WWE has gotten on this weird kick of building backwards - of giving the person the title, and then making them live up to it. They did the same thing with Paige when she debuted. I think that ultimately, you're probably right - the old way is the best way.

@metallinatus: Well WWE, at least, is counting them all, if we believe Mickie's promo. The belts have all merged, split and merged so many times anyway. I'll buy it.

@Blk_Mage_Ctype: Hey man, thanks for reading.

I agree with you, on one hand. I grew up during what I call the "Careers Era" when WWE had a wrestling dentist, a half man / half cow, a tax collector, and of course, the Undertaker. I really loved the over-the-top stuff in WWE back then.

But the thing is that Undertaker got grandfathered into the modern era, because he's a classic character. For new supernatural stuff to work, especially now, the guy has to win. Undertaker won, and he was even protected even when he loses - it took the entire Camp Cornette to lock him in a casket. Bray loses every major feud he's in, even when he goes all supernatural and magical. It goes back to what I said at the beginning - this would have been exciting closer to when he first debuted. But now? Do you trust WWE to handle this well, and protect this well? I don't, not anymore.
