I personally like steam because of its community and the discounts. The profiles get better year by year and the forums host of really great people. The thing that gets me the most though are its discounts. Alan wake franchise for 3.60 euros??? Who would've though...

Well... windows 8 DO have less RAM usage than windows 7 and are pretty damn quick, however, they're still pretty new and some companies haven't made their games compatible, but it'll most likely not pose an issue to you. I did have some problems with really old games (released around 2002) but I haven't had any other problems so far. It should be noted that some software will pose an issue (non gaming), for example Photoshop which frustrated me a bit with it's graphical glitches, but that's another thread... My advice: Give them a try :D.

It really isn't that bad after all, but I'm still against it. I mean that MS is trying to make up the money they lose over trading for free, however that'll have a huge fanbase impact...

Not really. I don't like this tactic that much. They're trying to make the series longer but that'll only result in the games losing quality. However, I'm curious about the stunts on ACIV :).

I know I am (except for Xbox one...). They're getting closer to maching the PC's power year by year, and if they accomplish that it would be terrific and at the same time horrible...

I can't personally agree with you on this. It really depends on the quality of the game, for example Skyrim has LOADS of quests and I still have lots of exploring to do, even if I have finished most of them, but I freakin loved it. On the other side, JC2 cannot be described as a GOTY, and it didn't really focus on the side quests. But that's just me :P.

You mean Steambook?

It's funny because I was just telling my friend how everything is turning into Facebook the other day, then I get on Steam and see the update.

Anyways, I don't hate or like it. Just indifferent to it all.

NuclearFlower
Lol on that one . In another thought, I always loved steam, and now I'm lovin it more ;).

I'm having that as well. I've been off gamespot for about 5-6 months, and I have to say I thought some of the glitches were fixed ...
