@lithus: what is black? It's not a race of people. And if you're referring to people of African decent, that's just not cool or polite.

Black is a colour, brazilian is a nationality and the only information we have about the character lucio, is his nationality. Everything else is an assumption.

Step off.

@Dragon_Nexus: I think it depends on where you grew up. I see where you're coming from though.

Gay would probably have been more innocuous.

@Metallicwolf29: Yes, as a man born in Malaysia, who now lives in Australia, and can trace his various ethnicities to his Spanish, Welsh, Russian, Scottish, Dutch, Portuguese, Various Indian and Sri Lankan sub ethnicities/forebearer.

I think I have a handle on the concept of nationality vs ethnicity.

Elevate yourself and see that I was attempting to move the dialogue away from the colour of his skin; which is not significant at all, to who Lúcio Correia dos Santos the character is.

And it's entirely possible that Blizzard wanted to capture parts of Brazilian culture in Lucio's design, which would explain the music centric theme.

@dark_firion: nothing wrong with being heterosexual, however for a very long time, people who's sexual orientation was different from what people thought was normal or acceptable were persecuted and it's good to see that society is embracing diversity and that should be celebrated. Just because gaming is celebrating LGBT characters doesn't mean all the straight characters are somehow less special.

I was a x360 gamer in the last generation cause I was a student and didn't have the finances to own both consoles at the time so I made a choice and I was pretty satisfied with it. Now I own an xbox one and I own a PS4 because I can afford it and I have a decent gaming PC, lets just get that out of the way so everyone knows where I'm coming from i.e. I'm platform agnostic.

Since I bought my xbox one I have barely touched it and I'm having more fun playing games on my PS4. The Last of Us was a real treat of a game and I'm glad they remastered it.

The simple reason for my preference is this; Sony's console still feels like a gaming hub first and a media hub second coupled with what in my opinion is more investment in the actual console development rather than an accessory (i.e. the kinect or move) have been able to make a console that seems to be smoother and more powerful than the xbox one. Furthermore the UI doesn't feel as bloated and is more attractive (colourful and easier to navigate) if I have a criticism of the PS4 UI it's that in some instances it isn't as intuitive as it could be. These factors come together to make an enjoyable gaming experience.

On the xbox one it feels like MS spent too much of the R&D money on the kinect and not enough on the actual console. The UI feels clunky and the lack of functionality and overall attractiveness which was in the NXE really hurts the enjoyment of using the console. MS makes it feel like gaming isn't a priority anymore and being a set top box is.

I don't think the xbox one is doomed by any means but with a lack of exclusives and interesting or compelling reason to game on xbox it feels like this generation Sony has the market and I think they deserve it. MS is suffering in my opinion from their own hubris.

@LucentWolf @kerc_chaos I realise that. I was just messing with you. Destiny does look intriguing and so far I've had no reason to think Bungie will under deliver

What they showed at E3 2012 vs what was released. Now that's the comparison people should be up in arms with.
