@horizonwriter U have a point.and a very strong one My answer was focused on the after 64 era. When nintendo shifted from single player games towards party gaming. But u are right, the opening sentence can be deceiving. As for single player games wii at leaste offered some unique experiences No more Heroes, super mario galaxy, donkey kong, legend of zelda (titles both old and new). As for wii u i dont know if it will deliever as strong in the end like wii did, but the fun of party game it can deliver is still better than the rest of things out there. Oh well here is to a brighter future for this console.

I recently got a wii u myself as a gift. It was the monster hunter special edition. I havent been a console owner since the era of ps2 and that was my first impression on console gaming after a really long time. As a hardcore gamer, i can understand why wii u and nintendo alienates lots of gamers. Wii and wii u are made for party fun. Grab some friends, pizza have the place for yourself and enjoy the awesomeness of party playing. After Xbox and ps2 came out, the fun of playing with friends was transformed to single player action games, or internet multiplayers with the exception of course of the occassional sports titles pro, fifa, madden etc. Nintendo was never about that. It focuses more on party fun rather than standalone fun. Most people dont get and tend to blame her for that reason. I enjoy my wii u my backwards compatibility with wii the chance to play again with my friends in the same place and have a laugh. Lets face it peeps. Nintendo isnt for everyone. If u like solo games or internet multiplayers then by all means pass it. Im a pc gamer and i always support my pc system when i want to play online mutliplayer or single player games.

But wii u offers something all other consoles dont. The chance to have fun with your friends in the same place like u used to, way back when the first playstation came around. And i for one will never change that feeling, for all the new gen consoles. In the end its all about preferences. I think nintendo is good at what it does. Its just people out there, that dont understand it. After e3 i cant w8 to stock up some new titles for my wii u.

I played it and enjoyed it. Action rpgs are made optimal for coop we all know thats true, but that doesnt mean we cant enjoy it single player style. I still remeber the awesome times playing both diablo2 and titan quest then torchlight and torchlight 2 and lemme tell u they rock on sp as well. Van hellsing is a really cool game that every action rpg fun should enjoy whether its single player or multiplayer. And truth be told many people dont know it exists therefore the low number on multis.

I recommend it to all fans out there. Killing monsters of all kind has never been any funnier or cooler. And people if u do like it recommend it to your friends as well. For 10 euros its solid fun and it could all the help for more active community.

EA must be the most devious company ever. After getting rammed by consumers and gamers announces they admolish online passes, when next generation box (and prolly ps4) says it will use them by default. In this they win both some lost credibility and remove all future responsibility for online passes made by the console themselves.

I just wanna see their faces if ps4 doesnt have the same policy on used games. Then i will trully laugh my ass off. Best go xbox exclusive then?

Mirrors Edge was a really cool game when it came out. Parkour themed, non stop running and really good but difficult combat. I myself purchased it on steam about 2 years later when it was on 75% sale and enjoyed it as hell. Only bad thing about it was the short campaign(took me around 10h max or less). I never knew it had developed such a cult and devoted fansbase and im really happy EA didnt destroy it like so many of its franchises.

If a sequel does come, GOD please dont make it crap like everything EA does this last few years...
