If you planned to play an FF game after Metal Gears I suggest FF 8 (for it's love story) cause the 9 is really, and by far, one of the worst FF ever! But you could added it after the 8 and you should realy check into Final Fantasy Tactics for it's great Story and by the same producer Vagrant Story is really good also

Once again "On Disk Content" unlock for a few more $$.
It let me wonder where this will get us in a few years?

Imagine, you payed 70$ for a brand new game that you have pre-order and the team behind the game have made some decisions here and there that let you think that the game wasn't what you have expected and you discovered that the screenshots from the game let you believed that: this or that was supposed to be there and then you finished the game in a really silly low-time ratio only to discover that the ending is kinda fishy and then you ask: "Why such a wonderful team made such poor decisions?" And like by magic, a few weeks later, the team says that they listened to the fans and they made a more convenient Ending and they made some additions to weapons and costumes available as a "DLC" and for sure this is not free, you have to payed more and more for something that, from not so long time ago, was already on games disk at lunch and without additional fees.

So like any videogames addict you don't think to long and you payed to discover that the famous "fans answers DLC" was truly a "On Disk Content" that you payed to unlock. So yeah those things was planned from the start by those companies to make more profits from the game with exactly the same development process from pass games with the exception that nowadays, they deliberately remove contents from the final version to make you pay for it later. And those "On Disk Content" always come in a few weeks after the game lunch, so that way maybe, you'll still to addicted to the game to see what's happened.

And now some says that "On Disk Lock Content For Later DLC" is a more convenient way to make content available to more peoples without having to really download the whole thing. You just have to get an unlock key for the content. Yeah! This is really good for those of us who still doesn't have any Internet connection or still having some "old days" 56k modem connection (Euhhhh is it really remains such connection nowadays? MMMM.. If so I sympathized with you bro cause with Online gaming this really sucks ;) )

So yeah, I'm happy to get this extra content but it make me wonder how far this could goes in a not so far future. Maybe we should begin to ask more questions and get real answers before spending on that game and not the other cause if we have a sliced down version of the final cut just to sell us the rest later maybe we should plan to spends more smarter and reserved our money to games that really deserved it!

And by the way, after reading my comment, if you found that those lines really fits your team, you should began to be scared cause if you though that we are blind and silly... WE ARE NOT!
If you use those strategies in your pass and future games you don't deserved our money!

Thanks to have read this and I humbly hope that those business models will be banned from the industry in a near future.
